Eltham A GP & J Baker Original since 1910, ‘Eltham’ was designed for GP & J Baker by renowned textile designer William Turner and is a pretty, painterly design featuring a variety of birds in leafy branches. Often dubbed as one of ‘The Turner Birds’, ‘Eltham’was painted in the Arborescent style of flowing trails of flora and fauna with majestic birds. It was originally printed onto a fine linen cloth using 6 sets of 81 blocks and was used in many notable 20th century homes.

Broughton Rose A GP & J Baker Original, ‘Broughton Rose’ is based on ‘Guinea Fowl’ designed by renowned textile designer William Turner in 1918. This charming depiction of grand Helmeted Guinea Fowl, a species native to Africa, surrounded by a floral trail of anemones, convolvulus and Malmaison roses was inspired by the reverse of Turner’s original block printed fabric, with the bleed through of the dyes giving a beautiful aged appearance.
