2013 ASSESSMENTS WERE DUE JANUARY 31, 2013 All homeowner association fees were due 1/31/12. Interest starts accruing on March 1st (5% APR). While the HOA will work with homeowners if a payment plan is needed, you must contact the office directly via email (phardilek@ccbpropertyman-

agement.com) or phone (281-492-6020) to request a formal payment plan. The onsite office cannot accept cash payments over $200. If a formal plan is set up, please pay the exact amount due on or before the due date as interest is calculated into the plan. NO PLANS WILL BE SET UP AFTER APRIL 1st. Accounts will be sent to the attorney’s office on April 2nd, so if you set up a plan and no payment has been received by April 1st, you will be turned over for collection. Once an account has been sent to the attorney, payment arrangements must be made through them - payments will not be accepted at the office. Reminders were sent out in February and again in March. Please don’t ignore assessment fees - they will not go away. If a homeowner waits until after a letter is received from the attorney, over $100 will be added to the balance - and costs quickly escalate from there.

Estate Your Real Life! r o f e c r u o Res to the public for homeowner garage sales from 7:00 am - 3:00 pm. (This date will be moved to Sunday if it rains on Saturday.) The sale will be advertised in local papers. If you wish to have a garage sale, please email CG_GarageSale@yahoo.com or call Lisa Donaldson at 281-579-7227 to register (not the onsite office). If emailing, please give your address and the types of items you plan on selling (i.e. toys, children’s clothing, furniture, kitchen equipment, etc.). Registration gives your sale a listing on the maps distributed to those entering the community for garage sales. Please note that the two community sponsored garage sales are the ONLY garage sales allowed in the community. To be included on the listing, you must be registered by the Wednesday prior to the garage sale (time is needed to have copies/maps made, etc.).

POACHING/ILLEGAL TRAPS Some homeowners in our community were walking on the path behind the park (near the levee) and both the homeowner and their dog had their feet caught in foot traps that were buried under leaves. Since then, two more traps have been found (near game trails just east of the subdivision in the area between the levee and the bayou) and have been confiscated. The authorities have been notified and are taking this matter very seriously as these traps could easily have seriously injured someone. The natural areas surrounding the subdivision are frequented by pedestrians, adult and child alike, as well as their pets. As this land belongs to the Army Corp of Engineers, it is a serious offense if someone is caught poaching or discharging firearms. The authorities have promised to do a sweep of the area and increase patrols in an effort to catch the individuals setting these illegal traps. Please contact Texas Parks & Wildlife at 281-842-8100 to report any traps or share information you may have.

2

281-391-SOLD (7653) www.lizcarter.com Our Family Serving Your Family Since 1976 Please be aware and use caution when walking in these areas, not only for illegal traps, but the wildlife in the area (snakes, gators, coyotes, etc). We would also like to remind residents that motor vehicles are also illegal in the area and fines for being caught operating one are quite high.

COUNTRY SIDE MOBILE VET CLINIC VISITS CANYON GATE Mark your calendars! The Country Side Mobile Vet Clinic is scheduled to return to Canyon Gate on Saturday, May 4th from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm at the recreation center. Dr. Regina Jamieson is the visiting veterinarian and is licensed by the Texas State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners. Dr. Jamieson offers packages that include all annual vaccinations, heartworm tests and prevention and flea control. Save a trip to the vet and bring your pet to the Mobile Vet Clinic on May 4th. If you have any questions, you may contact Dr. Jamieson at 713-492-8045.

DEED RESTRICTIONS This is the time of year that yards start looking a little shaggy. The clover seems to grow rampantly and is very noticeable. Most folks don’t mow weekly during this time of the year and in between mows, lawns really start looking bad. If you have large tufts or mounds of clover growing, please be aware you might get a letter or card from the HOA about it. Now is a good time to put down weed killer and fertilizer that will kill the clover and weeds but stimulate your grass to grow. This is also a good time to mulch (our deed restrictions require it). Another thing that is very prevalent during this time of year is mildew. Typically, mildew grows on vinyl siding, usually on the 2nd story. It is usually easy to remove - and generally does not require power washing, which can be very expensive.

Canyon Gate @ CR April 2013

We still see homeowners who continue to leave trash containers and other materials in their driveways or place their trash at the curb days before scheduled trash pickup. Our Deed Restrictions call for trash to be placed in an area that is not visible - either from the street or two your neighbors. Please keep your trash out of sight until Tuesday or Friday. By the time you read this newsletter, it will be nearing the end of March and good weather will probably be here. Certainly, it will be long past time for those homeowners who still have not gotten around to replacing their dead lawns with sod. If you are one of those homeowners, please note that your neighbors and the Board would appreciate your taking care of the dead grass and/or bushes shrubs. We have been and will continue to cite homeowners with dead or missing grass.

HARRIS COUNTY TOLL TAGS Please call the onsite office (281-492-6020) or email us to register your Harris County toll tag (phardilek@ccbpropertymanagement. com). The following information is required: Name, Address, Vehicle Make & Model and Old and New EZ Tag Numbers. Please do not give tag information to the guards - they do not have access to the gate computer. PLEASE REMEMBER to have your old tag number available when you are registering a new tag, so we can remove it from the system. The sticker-type EZ tags can be programmed into the system. However, the signal is not as powerful as that of the battery-powered tags. Please approach the gate slowly and stay as close to the left median as possible (that is where the reader is located); the new tags can’t be read by the system until you are very close to the gate.

REMINDER ABOUT PARKING REGULATIONS The Association would like to remind everyone that there is NO CURBSIDE PARKING between the hours of 11:00 PM - 9:00 AM. VEHICLES IN VIOLATION WILL BE STICKERED. If vehicles are found repeatedly in violation, they will be towed at the owner’s expense. These parking regulations were put in to place to alleviate the difficulty school buses were having navigating the neighborhood and to allow a time for problem-free residential access for emergency vehicles. Safety issues relating to morning work traffic and children going to school, garbage trucks, bike lanes and homeowner complaints about blocked driveways were also concerns. Please remember that angle or perpendicular parking is against deed restrictions. It is also a violation of local ordinance. Please remember that the front and back wheels of a vehicle must be parallel and within 18 inches of the curb. Angle or perpendicular parking may prohibit police, fire or any other emergency personnel from ingress or egress. Violators will have their vehicles stickered and if necessary, towed, if the vehicle is repeatedly found in violation.

The Homeowners’ Association sells EZ tags that will open the resident gate at the Canyon Gate entrance. Residents may purchase these at the onsite office for $35. These EZ tags contain a battery that should last for, approximately, 3 years. The HOA offers a one-year warranty on these tags. If the battery goes bad and your EZ tag stops working within the first year, the tag will be replaced at no cost. If your EZ tag stops working after the one-year time limit, a new EZ tag will need to be purchased.

RECREATION CENTER RENTAL The recreation center has a room available for parties, meeting, reunions, etc. A signed contract plus a $300 security deposit will hold your reservation. Homeowners must be current on their dues (or payment plans) and rental fees must be received prior to the party. The rental rate is $35 an hour with a two-hour minimum. The key for the clubhouse is to be signed out and returned to the guards in the guardhouse. Please READ THE CONTRACT CAREFULLY before signing - this is a binding legal document and the rules and regulations stipulated in the contract will be enforced. Call the onsite office for additional information. Remember to bring your trash home with you after a party - the clubhouse trashcans are being filled to overflowing regularly. Fines will start being assessed if the rec center trashcans are filled up with party debris.

STREET LIGHT MAINTENANCE To report a streetlight that is not working, call CenterPoint Energy at 713-207-2222. You will need to report both the number on the base of the pole (six digits) and the street address. You may also report outages online at www.centerpointenergy.com/outage

They must be on a leash at all times when away from this contained environment. It is also the pet owner’s responsibility, when walking their pet within the subdivision, to keep ALL areas free of pet debris. Please remember that cats must also be confined. Animal control can be reached by calling 281-342-1512 and will pick up strays and/or unconfined pets.

Thanks to Grand Lakes’ resident, Kelly G., we have a great list of “tempting foods” and also the at-home versions of some of your restaurant favorites. Thank you, Kelly! • Temptation #1: Cobb Salad; are loaded with cheese, bacon, egg and topped with a creamy dressing. At-Home Version: Use dark lettuce, like spinach or arugula, to get the most nutritional value. Top it with hard-boiled egg whites, baked turkey bacon, light cheese, avocado and drizzle lemon juice and vinegar for dressing.

• Temptation Food #2: Spinach Artichoke Dip; just half a cup of this creamy dip will set you back about 350 calories. At-Home Version: Use low-fat milk, spinach, some olive oil and a sprinkle of parmesan cheese. • Temptation #3: Chicken Tenders. This is basically fried chicken. Enough said. At-Home Version: Whip up a few eggs with some Dijon mustard, garlic powder and onion powder. Dip skinless, boneless chicken tenders in the mixture and then coat with almond flour, thyme, paprika and salt. Bake at 350 degrees F for 35 minutes or until no longer pink, flipping once halfway through. Turn on the broiler for the last couple of minutes to make it nice and crispy.

HISTORY OF EARTH DAY Earth Day, April 22nd, each year marks the anniversary of the birth of the modern environmental movement in 1970. Earth Day founder Gaylord Nelson, then a U.S. Senator from Wisconsin, proposed the first nationwide environmental protest “to shake up the political establishment and force this issue onto the national agenda.” “It was a gamble,” he recalls, “but it worked.” At the time, Americans were slurping leaded gas through massive V8 sedans. Industry belched out smoke and sludge with little fear of legal consequences or bad press. Air pollution was commonly accepted as the smell of prosperity. Environment was a word that appeared more often in spelling bees than on the evening news. Earth Day 1970 turned that all around. On April 22nd, 20 million Americans took to the streets, parks and auditoriums to demonstrate for a healthy, sustainable environment. Denis Hayes, the national coordinator and his youthful staff, organized massive coast-to-coast rallies. Thousands of colleges and universities organized protests against the deterioration of the environment. Groups that had been fighting against oil spills, polluting factories and power plants, raw sewage, toxic dumps, pesticides, freeways, the loss of wilderness and the extinction of wildlife, suddenly realized they shared common values. Earth Day 1970 achieved a rare political alignment, enlisting support from Republicans and Democrats, rich and poor, city slickers and farmers, tycoons and labor leaders. The first Earth Day led to the creation of the United States Environmental Protection Agency and the passage of the Clean Air, Clean Water and Endangered Species acts. Sen. Nelson was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest honor given to civilians in the United States for his role as Earth Day founder. As 1990 approached, a group of environmental leaders asked Denis Hayes to organize another big campaign. This time, Earth Day went global, mobilizing 200 million people in 141 countries

and lifting the status of environmental issues on to the world stage. Earth Day 1990 gave a huge boost to recycling efforts worldwide and helped pave the way for the 1992 United Nations Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro. As the millennium approached, Hayes agreed to spearhead another campaign, this time focused on global warming and a push for clean energy. Earth Day 2000 combined the big-picture feistiness of the first Earth Day with the international grassroots activism of Earth Day 1990. For 2000, Earth Day had the Internet to help link activists around the world. By the time Earth Day rolled around, 5,000 environmental groups around the world were on board, reaching out to hundreds of millions of people in a record 184 countries. Events varied: A talking drum chain traveled from village to village in Gabon, Africa, for example, while hundreds of thousands of people gathered on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., USA. Earth Day 2000 sent the message loud and clear that citizens the world ‘round wanted quick and decisive action on clean energy. Now, the fight for a clean environment continues. We invite you to be a part of this history and a part of Earth Day. Discover energy you didn’t even know you had. Feel it rumble through the grass roots under your feet and the technology at your fingertips. Channel it into building a clean, healthy, diverse world for generations to come. www.earthday.net

NCL Star Chapter The Star Chapter of NCL celebrated the Senior Class of 2013 in the ballroom of the Marriott Houston Westchase February 17th. We recognized each of these 21 young ladies for what they have accomplished in the past six years in the NCL organization. They have contributed over 5,000 hours to their chapter and community working through 24 local charities. Each young lady learned how to serve her community, be a leader and open her eyes to the cultural arts around her. The Star Chapter is dedicated to mothers and daughters serving together and building a close relationship, which together empowers them to be confident, well rounded and socially aware contributors in their communities.

District Sweetheart Dorris Conley of Katy

Elks Gulf Coast Charity Ball Raises Funds to Assist Texas Special Needs Children Amid Mardi Gras festivities, delicious steaks and chicken provided by Outback, “to die for” bread pudding from “Babin’s Seaford House” and “Katy Cajun” plus the amazing music of “The Green Onions,” the Gulf Coast Elks crowned yet another District Sweetheart. The Elks Sweetheart Program involves each lodge selecting a Sweetheart to raise funds for the Texas State Project - special needs children. Each year at this time, a District Charity Ball is held to celebrate the successes and show appreciation for the hard work of our lodge sweethearts with the one with the most money being honored as Gulf Coast District Sweetheart. Those representing the various lodges were: Catherine Bulliner, Clearlake; Carol Marek, El Campo; Connie Claypool, Galveston; Al Olmos, Houston; Dorris Conley, Katy and Sandra Black, Pearland. After all totals were reported and tabulated, Catherine Bulliner of Clearlake was 3rd, Al Olmos of Houston was 2nd and Dorris Conley of Katy was crowned District Sweetheart. The next step for the District Sweetheart is to add to district funds through additional fund raising involving all district lodges. The state winner will be announced at the Texas Elks State Association convention in Addison in June. The Gulf Coast District holds claim to 10 state wins out of the 34 years one has been crowned. This is with 9 districts competing. Funds raised through this program provide summer camp at Texas Elk Camp located at Ottine, between Lulling and Gonzales, as well as needed equipment that insurance doesn’t cover and parents can’t afford. There are seven sessions of camp that host approximately 35-45 special needs students each session. Children are considered on a first come basis and the camp is at no cost to families. Contact your local Elks Lodge for details and applications or check online at www.texaselkscamp.org for applications. Texas Elks Camp motto, “Teaching that having a difference doesn’t make a difference.”

Seven Basic Laws pertaining to all cyclists: 1. One rider per saddle - You can’t take a friend riding unless you have a bicycle built for two (tandem) or a child seat or trailer for the young ones. Riding on the handlebars, top bars or pegs, is not allowed. 2. Ride as far to the right as practicable, in the same direction as other traffic. This is the law that causes the most confusion. “Practicable” does not mean “possible.” Stay out of the gutter; leave yourself enough room to avoid hazards including parked cars with open doors. HAWC 2013 Officers L-R: Helen Havemann, Buddy Ives and Bill Lewis. Pat Felder not pictured.

Houston Area Wood Carvers Club Monthly Elects 2013 Officers The Houston Area Wood Carvers Club congratulates its 2013 officers. They are President, Buddy Ives of Bellaire; Vice President, Pat Felder of Houston; Secretary, Helen Havemann of Houston and Treasurer, Bill Lewis of Angleton. The committee chairmen for 2013 are Show Chairman Jim Berry of Houston; Web Master and Publicity, Carolyn Smith of Katy; Librarian, Lin Swalley of Houston; Newsletter Editor, Helen Havemann and Hospitality, Shelley Key of Houston. These leaders have many years of carving experience in various types of carving styles. The Houston Area Wood Carvers are looking forward to another year of fun, fellowship, learning and growth under their leadership. More information on the club’s activities are on its webpage: www.HoustonAreaWoodCarvers.com

A cyclist may ride in the middle of a lane (take the lane) that is 4 feet wide or is too narrow to safely share with a motor vehicle. Cyclists may ride tow abreast when taking a lane on a multi-lane roadway. Cyclist may ride two abreast but may not impede the normal and reasonable flow of traffic. A cyclist should ride in the proper lane to make a turn or otherwise negotiate an intersection. A cyclist may ride to the left side on a one-way roadway. 3. One hand on the handlebars, but two are safer. Riding with “no hands” is fancy, but just one small rock or a pothole can make your front wheel swerve and cause a crash. 4. Obey all traffic signs and signals. You must stop and yield just as the motor vehicles do. Complaints about cyclists running stop signs and red lights are the ones we most frequently hear from motorists. 5. Must have a white light in the front and a red rear reflector or red light to ride when it’s dark. Reflectors are not enough. You must have a headlight that can be seen from 500 feet. This is primarily so you will be seen, but also to help you see.

SHARE THE ROAD

Bicycle riders are operators of vehicles and have all the rights and responsibilities as the operators of other vehicles. It is important that all roadway users know and obey the laws that keep us all safe. The more educated automobile drivers and bicyclists are, the safer we will all be out on the road. Please use this information to help you and your friends tune-up your knowledge of the rules of the road.

April 2013

Canyon Gate @ CR

6. Must have effective brakes capable of making a braked wheel skid. If only one brake wheel to avoid pitching the rider over the handlebars. 7. Use hand and arm signals. Stopping or slowing, left turn and right turns must all be signaled. Texas allows pointing to the right to signal a right turn. The stopping signal is especially important when riding in a group of cyclists.

CINCO RANCH HIGH SCHOOL’S “CRYPTONITE” ROBOTICS TEAM DEMOS ROBOT AT EXXONMOBIL’S INTRODUCE A GIRL TO ENGINEERING DAY For the third year in a row, Cinco Ranch High School’s Robotics Team 624 (“CRyptonite”) was invited by ExxonMobil Chemical Company to represent FIRST® (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) robotics at an Introduce A Girl To Engineering Day event. Held annually by ExxonMobil Chemical, this program helps junior high girls envision careers in engineering and encourages them to get involved in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) courses and activities in high school. ExxonMobil Chemical supports FIRST and Team CRyptonite as one of the team’s corporate sponsors. Fourteen members of Team CRyptonite, along with last season’s basketball-shooting robot “Panzer,” travelled to ExxonMobil’s west Houston office on February 15th to show how helping to design and build a robot as part of a FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team has allowed them to experience solving real-world engineering and technology problems. An all-freshmen group of Team 624 girls was called upon to handle much of this demo for about 200 girls from KISD’s West Memorial and McDonald Junior Highs.

Founded by inventor Dean Kamen, FIRST was created to inspire young people’s interest and participation in science and technology. FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) is an annual competition that helps students discover the rewards and excitement of science, engineering and technology. The 2012 season included over 2,500 teams. FRC combines the excitement of sports with science and technology to create a unique Varsity Sport for the Mind™. Participants are eligible to receive nearly $16 million in scholarships from some of the finest science and engineering schools in the country. Since its founding in 2000, Cinco Ranch High School’s FIRST Robotics Competition Team 624 (“CRyptonite”) has achieved national recognition in all areas of FRC competition. Team highlights from 2012 include advancing to the divisional Semi-Finals of the FRC World Championship and the Indiana Robotics Invitational, winning the Bayou Regional Qualifying Event, advancing to the Finals at the Lone Star Regional Qualifying Event, along with capturing awards for quality, innovation and industrial safety.

Zoe Burch and Nasa Xu showed how the robot works and talked about the build process. Aided by Daniel Lambert and Bill Waters, some of the junior high girls got to try their hand at driving the robot and shooting baskets.

This has been possible through the generous financial and mentor support of our corporate sponsors, including founding sponsors BP America and Oceaneering Intervention Engineering. Other corporate sponsors include: ConocoPhillips, ExxonMobil Chemical, Wood Group, BAE Systems, Texas Workforce Commission, Kinder Morgan, West Engineering Services, MTS, Shell and Dockwise. We’re also indebted to numerous teachers, parents, mentors and our incredibly hardworking students.

Stephanie Grace, Susana Simmonds and Andrea Zaharie explained the robot’s pneumatic system to the girls, while Leah Button-Edelson and Jordan Wood did the same for the electronic system.

To learn more about FIRST Robotics Competition visit: www.usfirst. org/roboticsprograms/frc - for more information on Team 624, visit http://team624.org/

Team 624 Student President, Fraser Head talked about robotics competitions and showed photos and video of the team in action. Pneumatics Captain David Gros was also there to answer questionsThe junior high students asked many questions and were particularly impressed with the fact that just last year several of the Team 624 girls were in their shoes, attending this event with Cinco Ranch Junior High. At the end of the program, one of the most common questions from the junior high girls was, “Does the high school I’ll attend have a robotics team?”

Mildred’s Umbrella Theatre Company Mildred’s Umbrella Theatre Company proudly presents Ravenscroft, by Don Nigro, Thursday through Saturday and Monday, May 3-18, 2013 with a preview on Thursday, May 2nd. Directed by Rob Kimbro and starring Sean Patrick Judge, Michelle Edwards, Claire Anderson, Karen Schlag, Zoquera Millburne and Kara Ray. SYNOPSIS: This psychological drama is a thinking person’s Gothic thriller, a dark comedy that is both funny and frightening. On a snowy night, Inspector Ruffing is called to a remote house to investigate the death Patrick Roarke. He becomes involved in the lives of five alluring and dangerous women, all of whom are suspects in the murder. There are ghosts on the staircase, skeletons in the closet and much more than the Inspector bargained for. His investigation leads into own tortured soul and the nature of truth itself. You will not guess the ending, but you will be teased, seduced, bewildered, amused, frightened and led to a dark encounter with truth or something even stranger. DON NIGRO is an American playwright; his plays Anima Mundi and The Dark Sonnets of the Lady have both been nominated for the National Repertory Theatre Foundation’s National Play Award. He has won a Playwright’s Fellowship Grant from the National Endowment For The Arts, grants from the Mary Roberts Rinehart Foundation and the Ohio Arts Council, and twice been James Thurber Writer In Residence at the Thurber House in Columbus, Ohio…. a fun ride and it’s also fun to discover all those kinky goings-on that you always suspected lay beneath those stuffy British murder

mysteries. You’ll never look at Agatha Christie quite the same way again… Paolo Alto Weekly Located at Studio 101 at Spring Street Studios, 1824 Spring Street, Houston, TX 77007. All performances begin at 8 pm. Price- $18 regular/ $10 students and seniors. Pay as you can on Mondays and $25 for opening night with a party immediately after the show. During the 2012-2013 school year, students from all across the world will have the opportunity to travel to Houston and surrounding communities to spend the entire school year in the United States, learning and working with American Families. In order for the students to come to the U.S. they must have proper host families lined up. Now is a crucial time of year for the Ayusa program as local staff coordinators to find local host families for the upcoming school year. The Ayusa program is celebrating its 30th year this year and is responsible for more than 60,000 students from 75 different countries spending the school year in the United States.

There are a few basic requirements, of course. Anyone older than 25 and can provide food and shelter for a student fulfills the requirements of being a host family. There is a background check, reference check and an interview. Background checks have to be done on everyone over 18 living in the home. The host families have to be interested in it for the right reasons, the cultural exchange of learning from them and them learning from us. It’s the language, the cooking, the music, the food. The host family has to be genuinely interested. Once the host families and students are matched, Ayusa stays involved by monthly contacts with the families, students and quarterly contacts with the schools. Ayusa coordinators also handle the host family orientations and the student orientations. Group activities, such as community service and seeing things with the group of exchange students is also arrange throughout their academic year.

With the current school year quickly coming to an end Ayusa’s local staff is busy looking for families for students for the 2012-2013 school year. Many families are needed and with the schools having deadlines and limits for foreign exchange students the earlier the better. It also gives the families and students time to get to know each other via skype, facebook, etc. while waiting for their year abroad to start. COTHA, Church of the Holy Apostles Welcomes Antoinette Chew as Children’s Pastor As of Sunday, March 17th, Mrs. Antoinette Chew became the Children’s Pastor at COTHA. Her objective is to provide an environment where children are encouraged to develop their personal relationship with Jesus Christ. She will teach them about the Bible and God, while nurturing their spiritual gifts. Her responsibilities include, butare not limited to, acquiring, preparing and organizing curriculum for each age level K- 5th grade. She will create environments to facilitate learning and encourage spiritual growth. She will plan and oversee any event or special activity involving the COTHA kids and will engage their families by expanding spiritual influence outside of COTHA. Mrs. Antoinette Chew is a proud wife and mother to three children ages 7, 10 and 15. A graduate of Texas State University, Mrs. Chew was raised in New Jersey, but has been a Texan since 1993. Mrs. Chew has been in the Christian community since birth and been involved with Christian children’s programs since 1996. She worked as St. Johns Children’s Choir Director, St. Michaels Children’s Choir Director, Children’s Ministry Coordinator and most recently an elementary and early childhood music teacher. Mrs. Chew has assisted with VBS at various churches and attended pastoral conferences in order to stay current with emerging curriculums and trends. One of her more recent children’s programs doubled in size, in part by involving her rich history in the performing arts. “It is my greatest joy to teach children of all ages. I love fostering the love of music and theatre in my students all for the glory of God,” Chew said. “I am thrilled to join the COTHA family. This is the perfect environment to work with children from all walks of life.” This violin playing soprano singing Christian teacher says she is not afraid of breaking new ground to create engaging programs for children of all ages.

Help with monthly events is always needed. • Got a friendly pooch? Ask how pet visits can boost a patients’ day. • Are you crafty? Help out with our arts and craft activities. • History Buff?
