When walking your pets, please keep them leashed and please clean up their waste. Keep your car doors locked and keep your porch lights on to deter criminals from breaking into your car. It is illegal to park within 25 ft. of a stop sign, within 50 ft. of a fire hydrant, blocking a sidewalk, on the curb or sidewalk or horizontal in your driveway. When parking in a cul-de-sac, the passenger side wheels should be within 18 inches of the curb, it is illegal to park any other side of the vehicle towards the curb. Make sure your visitors park correctly so they do not get cited for illegal parking. ATVs, dirt bikes, pocket rockets, scooters and other motorized vehicles that are not street legal are subject to citation and your own risk. No motorized vehicles are allowed around the water retention areas (such as the track) as posted on the signs by Harris County Flood Control, Please report any unauthorized motor vehicles or parking to the Sheriff’s Dept. 713-221-6000. THREE TEACHERS WIN CLASSROOM MAKEOVERS FROM CFFCU
Three CFISD teachers were recently named winners in the Cy-Fair Federal Credit Union 9th annual Extreme Classroom Makeover Essay Contest. In the contest, teachers from all grade levels submitted essays explaining why they were most deserving of the $500 grand prize to help them create an ideal learning environment for their students. The winners are Elisa Rea from Jowell Elementary School, Joan Pearson from Hamilton Middle School and Sandra Windham from Cypress Creek High School. The teachers received their prize money at a reception at the Cy-Fair FCU’s Jones Road Branch on August 14th.

The organization has been in existence for over 25 years. Our coaching staff has over 40 years of total experience with HCYA. Bear Creek Baptist Church is offering Upward Basketball and Cheerleading for K-8th Grade. Early registration cost is $80 for Basketball and for Cheerleading until November 2nd. They will have one hour of practices a week and on Saturdays, they will have a game for one hour beginning in January. Every practice and game takes place on our Campus.
