Take a look at the curb just outside your home, is yours clean, pleasing to look at? Or is it cracked and missing a piece or two? Also, look at the curbs in your immediate neighborhood. 2011 drought, we need to look down to make sure our curbs look as good as the day we moved into our home. In our monthly newsletter, The Cinco Spirit, there is a standing section titled “Who Do I Call. Within that section there is a broken curb phone number. The number for Fort Bend County is 800-690-7623 and for Harris County the number is 281-463-8703. Take note that the Association maintains the gated communities, but the Counties maintain the curbs on the streets and cul de sac areas. There is a website for Fort Bend County that you report these matters as well: https://www.co.fort-bend.tx.us/roadmaintenanceform.asp. Remember, the curbs do a lot more for our appearance than just move water down the street. Take 10 minutes to note the intersection or home location that might need a curb repair, then call the County to have this put on the list

Since August 2010, the organization has delivered over 245 computers to kids with cancer or other life-threatening illnesses.
