Take a look at the curb just outside your home, is yours clean, pleasing to look at? Or is it cracked and missing a piece or two? Also, look at the curbs in your immediate neighborhood. Look around and see if

FoundationsAcademy.com In our monthly newsletter, The Cinco Spirit, there is a standing section titled “Who Do I Call.” Within that section there is a broken curb phone number. The number for Fort Bend County is 800-690-7623 and for Harris County the number is 281-463-8703. Take note that the Association maintains the gated communities, but the Counties maintain the curbs on the streets and cul de sac areas. There is a website for Fort Bend County that you report these matters as well: https://www.co.fort-bend.tx.us/roadmaintenanceform.asp. Remember, the curbs do a lot more for our appearance than just move water down the street. Take 10 minutes to note the intersection or home location that might need a curb repair, then call the County to have this put on the list Joel Mathews Chair of the Communications Committee

Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

DO NOT FEED THE DUCKS!

Recently, signs have been added to the area surrounding the lake at Lake Pointe advising residents not to feed the ducks at the park and lake. The duck population at Lake Pointe is a concern and feeding the ducks is encouraging the ducks to loiter. The ducks are a part of nature and the lake is a natural area, but feeding the ducks in this manner causes a duck population growth and subsequently the mess that goes along with it. Please keep this in mind the next time you are enjoying the park and lake. Thank you for your consideration and attention. - Management

Motivational speaker Alvin Law came from Canada to visit McMeans Jr. High 6th and 7th graders giving them many things to think about. Law, born with no arms, had some great messages for the students on what they can achieve if they so desire. He had many good messages for the students with stories of how being looked at in a different way his whole life made him succeed and messages about how we treat those around us. He played the keyboard and drum as a couple of his personal examples.

SMUDGE by Rachel Axler, directed by Artistic Director David Rainey. Performances begin Friday, July 13th Saturday, July 14th th and runs Friday-Saturday through July 28 at the O’Kane Theatre (One Main Building on the campus of UHD). A young couple, Nick and Colby, have all the expectations that most of us dream of about our child to be. But what they have achieved through their coupling is so shockingly far from their expectations that it is hard to believe. Coming to terms with that reality takes them on a life altering and often humors journey of self-discovery and acceptance. Two-time Emmy Award winner, Rachel Axler, forces her characters and us, to come face to face with our fears, our shortcomings and ourselves in this poignant dark comedy about parenthood.

If you are searching for a good cause to lend a hand to, you need look no further. to improving the quality of life for underprivileged, abused and disabled children who have been otherwise left behind. The scope of our support is limited only by the availability of resources. Our goal, the rainbow that we chase, is to leave no legitimate request for assistance unanswered. This is a great way for school age kids to get in community service hours. Do you have gently used children’s clothing, shoes and jackets?
