CHRISTMAS DECORATION JUDGING Thank you to all of the homeowners that made the season special with their home decorations. Selections for outstanding decorations were made once again by Wendy and Walter Kessler and their girls. They took the time to drive through the neighborhood to make these difficult decisions. We appreciate the time and effort by the Kessler family each year. Pictures will be in the February Crier.
ANNUAL MEETING AND ELECTIONS Our Annual Meeting and Elections was scheduled for Wednesday, November 4, 2015. Unfortunately, we did not have a quorum. Sgt. Hauer spoke and answered some questions but the meeting was not formally called to order.
The recall meeting was held on Tuesday, November 24, 2015. A quorum was established, but the two Board members up for election did not have opponents and a vote was not required. Maria Cutlip and Trudy Culp will serve another two year term. Thank you to all who took the time to attend. There are state laws that must be followed and we must have a quorum for the elections to be held. There are additional costs when we have to recall the meeting.
ANNUAL HOMEOWNERS FEES
Your annual fees of $370 were due on January 1, 2016 and will be considered past due February 1, 2016. If you are unable to pay your dues by that date, you must contact Preferred Management Services at 281-897-8808 to arrange a payment plan. This must be done to avoid late fees and possible legal action.
GARAGE SALE DATES
Garage sales are only allowed on the first Saturday in March, June and October. The garage sale dates for 2016 are March 5th, June 4th and October 1st. These dates are advertised in local papers and our signs are placed at the entrances early in the week of the sale. Garage sales are not permitted on any other dates. Fines may be assessed for failure to abide by this rule.

SUMMER ACTIVITIES
Would you like to see additional activities in our neighborhood? We would love to have things for our families, but without assistance it is not possible. The Board of Directors members all have full time jobs or other family obligations that take up much of our time. We are an unpaid voluntary Board with the interest of Concord Bridge at heart. If you have ideas for neighborhood activities, get volunteers to help and present your ideas to the Board. We will back legitimate activities to unite with our neighbors. There were several people at the annual meeting that advised they would assist in activities. We encourage you to step forward with your ideas and volunteers to assist. We will have movie nights in the park again this year. Watch for information in the Crier and on the marquees.

DEED RESTRICTIONS
832-887-7067
Deed restrictions are in place to maintain continuity within the neighborhood. Without these standards, a home could be left in disrepair or abandoned and could become a plight to our neighborhood. At entrances to the neighborhood, there are signs declaring deed restrictions are strictly enforced and when you purchased the home you were given a copy of the deed restrictions. Please remember, this is a legal document in place to protect the value of your home.
contact@ezfenceandremodeling.com • Custom and Standard Picket Fences • Interior and Exterior Home Remodeling, Maintenance & Repairs
If your home is not in good repair, it not only affects the value of it, but the surrounding homes. In order to maintain our values it is mandatory that everyone makes the necessary repairs, remove the mildew and/or paint as needed.
Complete Landscaping Services
Inoperable vehicles are to be repaired or removed. Covering them with covers or tarps does not change the fact that they are not in compliance with the deed restrictions. Motorized vehicles cannot be parked in the yard or on your porch.

Crest Management handles most of the business transactions for Concord Bridge under the direction of your Board of directors. If you don’t understand any correspondence from Crest Management, please call for clarification. The homeowners association pays for all correspondence related to deed restrictions, therefore duplicate letters cost you and me additional fees. Do not ignore correspondence from Crest Management!

Harris County requires that all pets be on a leash or confined within your yard. Unleashed dogs are a nuisance to your neighbors and other pets. Please pick up all dog waste and dispose of it properly. Remember, our children play in the park areas and their yards. It’s very inconsiderate of you to allow your dog to defecate if others yards and the parks. When walking your dogs, please be prepared to remove any waste they may leave behind.

Roger is doing Independent Record Promotion for the Texas Charts by sharing his many years in the music business with you and upcoming artists. Roger says it’s been a wonderful and exciting ride all these years with many great memories to cherish. He is quick to add he could not have done it without his family, Connie Marie, wife of 44 years, 3 sons, Roger II, Joshua Lee and Nick Shane and daughter-in-laws Lara, Monica and Marita and six grandchildren, Gracie, Isabelle, Luke, Max, Kaylee and Miles. For 100 years, Scouting programs have instilled in youth the values found in the Scout Oath and Scout Law. Today, these values are just as relevant in helping youth grow to their full potential as they were in 1910. Scouting helps youth develop academic skills, self-confidence, ethics, leadership skills, outdoor skills and citizenship skills that influence their adult lives. The Boy Scouts of America provides youth with programs and activities that allow them to: • Try new things. • Provide service to others. • Build self-confidence. • Reinforce ethical standards. Scouting provides a rewarding experience for boys ages 5 to 21. Scouting through the local Packs and Troops teach outdoor and life skills which help our youth Be Prepared. Your area is serviced by the BSA Sam Houston Area Counsel - Copperhead District which includes 23 Cub Scout Packs (boys 5 to 10 years old), 13 Troops (boys from 11 to 18 years old) and 10 Venturing units (boys and girls from 14 to 21). Our Units typically meet weekly. Many of our units are supported by the local Elementary Schools including: Birkes, Copeland, Duryea, Fiest, Hemmingway, Holmsley, Horne, Jowell, Lowery, Metcalf, Owens, Postma, Robinson, Sheridan, Tipps, Walker and Wilson. Other Community groups include: Autumn Creek Baptist Church, Beck and Masten Automotive, Cornerstone United Methodist Church, Copperfield Church, Crossbridge Church, Cy-Fair Kiwanis Club, Deerfield Village HOA, LDS Bear Creek and Copperfield Wards, Middlegate Village HOA, Peace Community Church, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and Thornton Middle School.

St. Cuthbert Episcopal School’s 2016-2017 registration will start on February 2nd at 8 AM and will continue each day during school hours until all of our spots are full. We offer 2, 3 or 5 day classes for students, ages 18 months - 5 year olds. St. Cuthbert School is now offering a Bridge to Kindergarten class for the 2016-2017 school year. Our bridge program is designed for children who are not quite ready for kindergarten. We recognize the need to engage children with summer or fall birthdays who are five years old, entering Kindergarten or First grade the following school year, however still need a bit more time before entering a rigorous learning environment. The development of the essential building blocks allows children to succeed at learning with greater ease and confidence; by helping them bridge the academic and social gaps necessary to be positive and productive classroom leaders. Our school hours are Monday-Thursday 9 AM-2 PM and Friday 9 AM-12 noon. The program provides a loving, Christian environment offering the children weekly chapel, as well as music/movement, library and computer classes. Our curriculum includes Handwriting Without Tears, reading and math. The program is open to all children, regardless of race, nationality or faith. St. Cuthbert School is NAEYC accredited. “I’m In PAIN” Can Chiropractic Help ME ?
We are often asked, “What’s the best way of finding out whether or not a doctor of chiropractic can help my problem?” We believe the answer can be found in a complete chiropractic consultation and examination, including x-rays. And to help find out for sure, we will do a complete consultation and examination, including x-rays, if necessary, (procedures that normally cost $187.00 or more) for $25.00. We will make this special program available through January. The only exception to the offer involves personal injury cases (workers’ compensation and auto accidents) in which there is no charge directly to the patient.

ST. CUTHBERT EPISCOPAL CHURCH
St. Cuthbert is located at 17020 West Road, Houston (the northeast corner of West and Queenston). For more information on any of our events, visit us at www.stcuthbert.org. St. Cuthbert Episcopal Church will hold their 15th annual Chili Cook-Off and Chili Bowl on Saturday, January 30th, from 12-2 PM. This event is open to the public. Come and sample our chilies and place your vote for your favorite and see if it becomes the grand prize winner. Then join the team for a fun game of football right on our front lawn. You are invited to St. Cuthbert Episcopal Church’s Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper on February 9th from 5:30-7 PM. We will eat pancakes and play bingo! Shrove Tuesday originated during the Middle Ages. Food items like meats, fats, eggs, milk and fish were regarded as restricted during Lent. To keep such food from being wasted, many families would have big feasts on Shrove Tuesday. The English tradition of eating pancakes on Shrove Tuesday came about as a way to use as much milk, fats and eggs as possible before Ash Wednesday began. In France, the consumption of all fats and fatty foods on this day coined the name “Fat Tuesday” or Mardi Gras. You are invited to the Ash Wednesday services at St. Cuthbert Episcopal Church on February 10th at 6:30 AM, 4:30 PM and 7 PM. All services have Holy Communion and the imposition of ashes. The 4:30 PM service is designed for children and their families. Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the season of Lent, which is dedicated to reflection, prayer and fasting in preparation for Easter.
