CONGRATULATIONS CLASS OF 2015! Happy FATHERS’s Day! ESTATE SALE REGULATIONS
An estate sales is the liquidation of property of a homeowner/occupant that is deceased or has been moved to a health care facility. This is intended to sell property no longer needed. It is NOT a moving sale. In order to eliminate confusion, a resolution has been written and recorded in the Official Public Records of Real Property of Harris County, Texas. These Regulations constitute a “dedicatory instrument” as defined by TEX PROP. CODE 2021(1) and shall be recorded in the Official Public Records of Real Property of Harris County, Texas. The covenants, conditions and/or restrictions contained herein shall constitute “restrictive covenants(s)” as that term is defined in TEX. PROP. CODE 2021(4). Pursuant to TEX. PROP. Code 2024(b) the association may initiate litigation affecting the enforcement of these restrictive covenants and, pursuant to TEX. PROP. CODE 2024(c), a court may assess civil damages for the violation of the restrictive covenants in these Regulations in an amount not to exceed $200 for each day of the violation. All estate sales must be applied for at least fourteen (14) days prior to the event. Owners and occupants of property within Concord Bridge are expressly forbidden from having an estate sale without the expressed written consent of The Association. Estate sales may only be held for one day between the hours of 8 AM and 4 PM. Owners and occupants must remove estate sale sign immediately at 4 PM. Advertisement in the area’s community newspaper or in the Greensheet is strongly encouraged, as posting signs throughout the subdivision violates the regulations stated in this resolution. Contacting a company that specializes in estate sales and liquidation of estates is also permitted and encouraged. All items for sale must be inside the home or garage (doors closed) and may not be visible from the street. Failure to abide by the rules set forth above may result in the Association taking action against the Homeowner and any fees associated with this will be charged back to the Homeowner.

HOUSTON FAMILY ARTS CENTER REMAINING 2015 SEASON EXPLORING LIFE, LOVE & LAUGHTER
The Houston Family Arts Center (HFAC) announces its 10th mainstage season, which explores life, love and laughter through timeless musicals, zany comedies, a classic murder mystery and a Shakespearean comedy. 2015 • Shakespeare - comes to life, June 12th - July 5th with A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The canon’s most enchanted comedy pursues love with calculated abandon! This story of mortal and immortal paramours set in a mythical forest is one that will cast a spell on lovers of all ages. • 1776 - Closing this exciting season, July 24th - August 16th, is the American musical, 1776. With revolutionary immediacy, our lofty founding fathers are found to be genuine people who debate, bargain and fray one another’s nerves as they struggle on the tortuous road to independence. This musical witness to the creation of one of the most eloquent documents in history will stir the soul of every American. All performances are on the HFAC Garza Mainstage, recently named “Houston’s Best Gem of a Theatre” by the Houston Press, except for Peter Pan, which will be performed at the Berry Center.

At all three worship services (8:30, 9:30 & 10:45 AM), we will give a gift to every man in attendance. We will also be giving an additional gift to three of our special fathers: the oldest father in attendance, the father with the youngest child in nursery/worship and the father with the most children present. The theme of the service will be centered around Dr. Dave Meadows’ Father’s Day message entitled, “How Big Is Your God, Daddy?” as we honor our fathers and other men who have touched our lives with their guidance and love. Pack your neighbors in the van and head to Cornerstone United Methodist Church on June 13th. PATRIOTIC WORSHIP & FELLOWSHIP CELEBRATION On Sunday, June 28th, Cornerstone United Methodist Church will be hosting a special “Patriotic Worship Event.” In celebration of our nation’s birthday on July 4th, Steve Hoyle, the Cornerstone Music Director, has put together a festive musical extravaganza entitled, “Let Freedom Ring.” The program will include patriot songs and readings, a time of prayer for our nation, a salute to our Armed Forces and a “message in song” focusing on “Old-time Southern Gospel” music. On this Sunday only, rather than the usual three services at 8:30, 9:30 and 10:45 AM (there will also be Christian Education at 9:30 AM), Cornerstone will have just one “churchwide” service at 10:45 AM. The “Patriotic Celebration” will be presented at this churchwide 10:45 AM service. An orchestra will accompany the Cornerstone chancel choir. After the service, there will be a hot dog luncheon and a time of games and fellowship. Don’t miss this wonderful event. Bring your family. Bring your friends. Bring everyone you can and come celebrated with us the birthday of our nation on Sunday, June 28th. June 2015

Cornerstone UMC Launches Summer Shoe Drive! Cornerstone United Methodist Church is conducting a shoe collection drive, which will run until the end of July to raise funds for our family life center. We will earn funds based on the number of pairs collected as Funds2Orgs will purchase all of the donated goods. Those dollars will be utilized towards the costs associated with our family life center. Anyone can help by donating gently worn, used or new shoes at Cornerstone United Methodist Church located at 18081 West Road. You can bring your donations by Monday-Thursday 9 AM-4 PM or contact the church office to schedule a time to pick up the shoes. All donated shoes will then be redistributed throughout the Funds2Orgs network of microenterprise partners in developing nations. Funds2Orgs helps impoverished people start, maintain and grow businesses in countries such as Haiti, Honduras and other nations in Central America and Africa. Proceeds from the shoe sales are used to feed, clothe and house their families. One budding entrepreneur in Haiti even earned enough to send to her son to law school. By donating shoes to Cornerstone United Methodist Church, the shoes will be given a second chance and make a difference in people’s lives. For more information or questions about the shoe drive, please contact Scott Grow at youth@cornerstoneumc.org or contact the church office at 281-859-4141. Concord Bridge

On March 28, 2015, Eagle scout candidate Miguel Casanova carried out his Eagle project with the assistance of 26 scouts and adults from Boy Scout Troop 1296. A long paved walkway was constructued at Mcfee Elementary, running from the school portable buildings to the nearby street. The walkway will help improve the pathway from the local neighborhood to Mcfee Elementary school for both students and the public. Miguel and Troop 1296 built the pathway with weed block, pavers and sand, where there was previously a grassy area with poor drainage which was becoming muddy due to a combination of foot traffic and recent rain. The resulting pathway is the result of many scouts participating (almost 200 hours combined) in the hard digging in preparation for laying the final pavers and sand. Congratulations on a job well done!

LOT MAINTENANCE Spring is upon us and summer is just around the corner. Grass is growing, flowers are blooming and trees are no longer dormant! Yards should be properly maintained mowed, edged, trees and shrubs trimmed, plant beds and expansion joints weeded, etc. - on a regular basis. Also, now is a good time to have someone trim the dead palm fronds from your tall palm trees. On recent inspections of the community, we have noticed many palm trees in need of some TLC and trimming! Please do your part in helping maintain the aesthetics and property value of Concord Bridge homes.

“I’m In PAIN” Can Chiropractic Help ME ?
We are often asked, “What’s the best way of finding out whether or not a doctor of chiropractic can help my problem?” We believe the answer can be found in a complete chiropractic consultation and examination, including x-rays. And to help find out for sure, we will do a complete consultation and examination, including x-rays, if necessary, (procedures that normally cost $187.00 or more) for $25.00. We will make this special program available through June. The only exception to the offer involves personal injury cases (workers’ compensation and auto accidents) in which there is no charge directly to the patient.

GARDEN TIPS FOR JUNE
Lawns • Apply iron sulfate or chelete to St. Augustine grass lawns. • Mow St. Augustine to a 2-inch height now to protect roots from the sun. Never cut off more than a third of the leaf. • Continue treatment of lawns for chinch bug. As the temperature hits 80 degrees, chinch bugs begin to reproduce in the hottest and driest part of the lawn, usually next to cement. Use diazinon or dursban granules. Flowers • Overwatered hibiscus, purslane and bougainvillea won’t bloom. • Keep flowers pinched off of coleus and caladiums to encourage more of the beautiful foliage. • Plants to set: Acalpha, Ageratum, Alternathera, Aspidistra, Artemisia, Balsam, Begonia, Chrysanthemum, Cockscomb, Coleus, Croton, Dusty Miller, Feverfew, Gaillardia, Geranium, Marigold, Petunia, Pinks, Portulaca, Salvia-red, Shrimp Plant, Torenia, Verbena and Vinca. Vegetables • A strong blast of water in the morning rids plants of most bugs for the rest of the day. • Vegetables to plant: Cantaloupe, Sweet Corn, Cucumber, Eggplant sets, Okra, Black Peas,Pepper Sets, Summer Squash and Sweet Potato. Shrubs • Watch Camellias and Azaleas, they’re setting their blooms now for next season. So give them a good mulch and plenty of water. Mulch well with oak leaves and/or pine needles to keep soil acidic. Benefits of Mulching: Mulching (organic or inorganic) is a layer of material on the surface of the soil around the plant. Mulches conserve water by reducing evaporation, insulates the soil and protects it from the drying wind and hot sun. Mulches break the force of rain and irrigation water and tend to prevent erosion, soil compaction, and crusting. Lastly, a 2-3 inch layer of mulch will almost eliminate weed problems.

Concord Bridge
Sponsored by Northwest Dodge and Bridgeland, the year-end celebration capped a school year that has paid tribute to 75 years of excellence dating back to the union of the Cypress and Fairbanks school systems in 1939. The free event kicked off in the front parking lot of the Berry Center with carnival amusements, games, bounce houses, a climbing wall, a juggler, unicyclist, stilt walker and a horse-and-buggy ride. More than 60 vendor booths lined the center of the carnival. Local country-western band Sawdust Road provided musical entertainment and guests dined from various food trucks. A stilt walker greets a child in the carnival section of the 75th Anniversary Festival celebration. The evening concluded inside Berry Center Stadium, where spectators were treated to performances by Martial Arts USA, the Cypress Lakes and Cypress Ranch high school drill teams and the Cy-Fair High School marching band.
Hollie Davies, regional director of Congressman Michael McCaul (TX-10)’s office, presents Dr. Mark Henry, CFISD superintendent, with a Certificate of Congressional Recognition to commemorate Cypress-Fairbanks ISD’s 75th Anniversary school year.
Student representatives from each district campus paraded into the stadium while holding a banner bearing their school’s name, then performed “We’ve Schools Everywhere,” a spin-off of the song “I’ve Been Everywhere” that listed each district school and support facility. After briefly addressing the crowd, Dr. Henry cued a seven-minute fireworks display, which lit up the sky over the Berry Center scoreboard.
