GARAGE SALE

The first garage sale of 2016 is Saturday, March 5th. The date will be advertised in local papers and our signs are placed at the entrances early in the week of the sale. Garage sales are not permitted on any other dates. Fines may be assessed for failure to abide by this rule.

SUMMER ACTIVITIES Would you like to see additional activities in our neighborhood? We would love to have things for our families, but without assistance it is not possible. The Board of Directors members all have full time jobs or other family obligations that take up much of our time. We are an unpaid voluntary Board with the interest of Concord Bridge at heart. If you have ideas for neighborhood activities, get volunteers to help and present your ideas to the Board. We will back legitimate activities to unite with our neighbors. There were several people at the annual meeting that advised they would assist in activities. We encourage you to step forward with your ideas and volunteers to assist. We will have movie nights in the park again this year. Watch for information in the Crier and on the marquees.

DEED RESTRICTIONS Deed restrictions are in place to maintain continuity within the neighborhood. Without these standards, a home could be left in disrepair or abandoned and could become a plight to our neighborhood. At entrances to the neighborhood, there are signs declaring deed restrictions are strictly enforced and when you purchased the home you were given a copy of the deed restrictions. Please remember, this is a legal document in place to protect the value of your home.

Bear Creek Animal Clinic Pet Wellness Fair Saturday, March 19th, (8am-11:30am)

www.bearcreekanimalclinic.com

If your home is not in good repair, it not only affects the value of it, but the surrounding homes. In order to maintain our values it is mandatory that everyone makes the necessary repairs, remove the mildew and/or paint as needed.

Ask about Senior and Dental Days

Inoperable vehicles are to be repaired or removed. Covering them with covers or tarps does not change the fact that they are not in compliance with the deed restrictions. Motorized vehicles cannot be parked in the yard or on your porch. Preferred Management handles most of the business transactions for Concord Bridge under the direction of your Board of Directors. If you don’t understand any correspondence from Preferred Management, please call for clarification. The homeowners association pays for all correspondence related to deed restrictions, therefore duplicate letters cost you and me additional fees. Do not ignore correspondence from Preferred Management!

Have you lost a pet or found a dog or cat? You can contact the Concord Bridge Pet Hotline at 281-468-9414 and on the Facebook account, www.facebook.com/#!/Concordbridgehotline. You can use this source to report lost and found animals. This has been a great help in returning lost and found animals to their owners. Even if you don’t have access to Facebook, you can call 281-468-9414. It is far more efficient than posting illegal signs all over the neighborhood. Harris County requires that all pets be on a leash or confined within your yard. Unleashed dogs are a nuisance to your neighbors and other pets. Please pick up all dog waste and dispose of it properly. Remember, our children play in the park areas and their yards. It’s very inconsiderate of you to allow your dog to defecate if others yards and the parks. When walking your dogs, please be prepared to remove any waste they may leave behind.

“I’m In PAIN” Can Chiropractic Help ME ?

We are often asked, “What’s the best way of finding out whether or not a doctor of chiropractic can help my problem?” We believe the answer can be found in a complete chiropractic consultation and examination, including x-rays. And to help find out for sure, we will do a complete consultation and examination, including x-rays, if necessary, (procedures that normally cost $187.00 or more) for $25.00. We will make this special program available through March. The only exception to the offer involves personal injury cases (workers’ compensation and auto accidents) in which there is no charge directly to the patient.

SPRING BREAK ROAD TRIPS!

Perhaps taking a family trip via plane isn’t a part of the spring break budget this year. No fear! Spending a few days away from Houston is as easy as packing up the car, getting the kids and picking a destination. Check out these ideas: Family road trip number 1: Austin. Under 3 hours from Katy by car with plenty of great food, history and fun. Family road trip number 2: Corpus Christi. This is an excellent destination for beaches, swimming and more. Family road trip number 3: New Braunfels (outside of Austin). This place is jam-packed with fun stuff for kids. Family road trip number 4: San Antonio. Head west on I-10 for 3 hours to arrive at this great Texas destination. Family road trip number 5: DFW. This Texas destination is just a straight shot north from Houston on I-45. BE WISE - ORGANIZE! It is so easy to keep putting things in your secret pile in that room or area no one sees. But one day someone will notice! Be wise - organize! Here are some easy DIY tips: • Shoe Boxes as DIY Dividers: You can make a completely customizable set with just scissors and shoe boxes. Simply cut the boxes in half by length or width, as needed for your space, then tuck into a drawer. • Picture Frames as Dry-Erase Board: Stay on top of your errands with an eye-catching DIY memo board: Frame a pretty scrap of fabric or wallpaper, hang in a high traffic area and use a dry-erase market to jot down reminders on the glass. • Stepladders as a Bedside Table: This minimalist take on a night table holds only the essentials-a lamp, a smartphone, water-forcing you to edit which items spend the night there.

• Magnets as a Medicine Cabinet Organizer: Mount a magnetic strip on the inside of the medicine cabinet door to store tweezers, bobby pins and other grooming tools in plain sight. • A Wine Rack as a Wall Organizer: Hang an unused wine rack on the wall of your garage or supply closet to stash rags, tools, extension cords and more odds and ends.
