PET OWNERS
NOTICE REGARDING TRASHCANS
During recent visits to our community, the most common deed restriction violation we find is Owners leaving their trashcans out in public view. Trashcans should be placed in view only after 7 PM the evening prior to the scheduled pick up day. The cans should be removed and stored out of view the same day following pick up. The volume of letters sent regarding this issue continues to be an increasing expense for Copper Grove Owners Association. All expenses incurred, including postage to mail out fines, weigh seriously on the assessment paid by each homeowner. We request your compliance to help keep cost to a minimum and to keep our community as attractive as possible.
RECYCLING INFORMATION
Great Website for information on recycling: www.recycleinfo.org Cy Falls High School: Paper, plastic and aluminum cans can be recycled here. Look for the green and yellow paper retriever containers located in the parking lot for community paper recycling. When you recycle your paper here, this location earns money for programs and projects.
Please be mindful to keep all dogs on a leash when walking them, to keep the community safe.

75TH FESTIVAL CLOSES OUT ANNIVERSARY SCHOOL YEAR IN CELEBRATORY STYLE
Thousands of community members helped bring Cypress-Fairbanks ISD’s 75th Anniversary school year celebration to a close at the 75th Anniversary Festival at the Berry Center on April 25th. Sponsored by Northwest Dodge and Bridgeland, the year-end celebration capped a school year that has paid tribute to 75 years of excellence dating back to the union of the Cypress and Fairbanks school systems in 1939. The free event kicked off in the front parking lot of the Berry Center with carnival amusements, games, bounce houses, a climbing wall, a juggler, unicyclist, stilt walker and a horse-and-buggy ride. More than 60 vendor booths lined the center of the carnival. Local country-western band Sawdust Road provided musical entertainment and guests dined from various food trucks. A stilt walker greets a child in the carnival section of the 75th Anniversary Festival celebration. The evening concluded inside Berry Center Stadium, where spectators were treated to performances by Martial Arts USA, the Cypress Lakes and Cypress Ranch high school drill teams and the Cy-Fair High School marching band. Student representatives from each district campus paraded into the stadium while holding a banner bearing their school’s name, then performed “We’ve Schools Everywhere,” a spin-off of the song “I’ve Been Everywhere” that listed each district school and support facility. After briefly addressing the crowd, Dr. Henry cued a seven-minute fireworks display, which lit up the sky over the Berry Center scoreboard.

GIRL SCOUTS COPPER CREEK MEADOWS COMMUNITY GIRL SCOUTS OF SAN JACINTO COUNCIL
Copper Creek Meadows Community finished up the year with a bridging ceremony for those troops moving on to the next level of Girl Scouting. Troop Leaders introduced their troops and told us about the year’s activities. The girls then walked across a bridge to be greeted by a Girl Scout from their new level. BOY SCOUTS EAGLE PROJECT FOR MIGUEL CASANOVA
On March 28, 2015, Eagle scout candidate Miguel Casanova carried out his Eagle project with the assistance of 26 scouts and adults from Boy Scout Troop 1296. A long paved walkway was constructued at Mcfee Elementary, running from the school portable buildings to the nearby street. The walkway will help improve the pathway from the local neighborhood to Mcfee Elementary school for both students and the public. Miguel and Troop 1296 built the pathway with weed block, pavers and sand, where there was previously a grassy area with poor drainage which was becoming muddy due to a combination of foot traffic and recent rain. The resulting pathway is the result of many scouts participating (almost 200 hours combined) in the hard digging in preparation for laying the final pavers and sand. Congratulations on a job well done!
BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA COPPERHEAD DISTRICT
For 100 years, Scouting programs have instilled in youth the values found in the Scout Oath and Scout Law. Today, these values are just as relevant in helping youth grow to their full potential as they were in 1910. Scouting helps youth develop academic skills, selfconfidence, ethics, leadership skills, outdoor skills and citizenship skills that influence their adult lives. The Boy Scouts of America provides youth with programs and activities that allow them to: • Try new things. • Provide service to others. • Build self-confidence.
Copper Grove
• Reinforce ethical standards. Scouting provides youth with a sense that they are important as individuals while promoting activities that lead to personal responsibility and high self-esteem. As a result, when hard decisions have to be made, peer pressure can be resisted and the right choices can be made. Scouting provides a rewarding experience for boys ages 5 to 21. Scouting through the local Packs and Troops teach outdoor and life skills which help our youth Be Prepared. Your area is serviced by the BSA Sam Houston Area Counsel - Copperhead District which includes 23 Cub Scout Packs (boys 5 to 10 years old), 13 Troops (boys from 11 to 18 years old) and 10 Venturing units (boys and girls from 14 to 21). Our Units typically meet weekly. Many of our units are supported by the local Elementary Schools including: Birkes, Copeland, Duryea, Fiest, Hemmingway, Holmsley, Horne, Jowell, Lowery, Metcalf, Owens, Postma, Robinson, Sheridan, Tipps, Walker and Wilson. Other Community groups include: Autumn Creek Baptist Church, Beck and Masten Automotive, Cornerstone United Methodist Church, Copperfield Church, Crossbridge Church, Cy-Fair Kiwanis Club, Deerfield Village HOA, LDS Bear Creek and Copperfield Wards, Middlegate Village HOA, Peace Community Church, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and Thornton Middle School. • Shakespeare - comes to life, June 12th - July 5th with A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The canon’s most enchanted comedy pursues love with calculated abandon! This story of mortal and immortal paramours set in a mythical forest is one that will cast a spell on lovers of all ages. • 1776 - Closing this exciting season, July 24th - August 16th, is the American musical, 1776. With revolutionary immediacy, our lofty founding fathers are found to be genuine people who debate, bargain and fray one another’s nerves as they struggle on the tortuous road to independence. This musical witness to the creation of one of the most eloquent documents in history will stir the soul of every American.

“I’m In PAIN” Can Chiropractic Help ME ?
We are often asked, “What’s the best way of finding out whether or not a doctor of chiropractic can help my problem?” We believe the answer can be found in a complete chiropractic consultation and examination, including x-rays. And to help find out for sure, we will do a complete consultation and examination, including x-rays, if necessary, (procedures that normally cost $187.00 or more) for $25.00. We will make this special program available through June. The only exception to the offer involves personal injury cases (workers’ compensation and auto accidents) in which there is no charge directly to the patient.

We will also be giving an additional gift to three of our special fathers: the oldest father in attendance, the father with the youngest child in nursery/ worship and the father with the most children present. The theme of the service will be centered around Dr. Dave Meadows’ Father’s Day message entitled, “How Big Is Your God, Daddy?” as we honor our fathers and other men who have touched our lives with their guidance and love. Make plans to join us for the special worship opportunity and be sure to bring your dad!

All donated shoes will then be redistributed throughout the Funds2Orgs network of microenterprise partners in developing nations. Funds2Orgs helps impoverished people start, maintain and grow businesses in countries such as Haiti, Honduras and other nations in Central America and Africa. Proceeds from the shoe sales are used to feed, clothe and house their families. One budding entrepreneur in Haiti even earned enough to send to her son to law school. By donating shoes to Cornerstone United Methodist Church, the shoes will be given a second chance and make a difference in people’s lives.
