Huggins Elementary School HUGGINS 5TH ANNUAL GALA THANK YOU! This year’s “Denim and Diamonds” Gala hosted by Friends of Huggins was a success! It was held on April 14th at the beautiful Safari Texas facilities. The support from our families, friends, community members and businesses helps Huggins to be the best campus we can be for our students. Donations to this event allowed funds to be raised via live and silent auctions to purchase items for our school. The Gala Coordinator, Erin Hearon, along with the FOH Executive Board members were the organizers of this event and they deserve high praise and recognition for a job well done! Thank you for your continued support!
VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR Our 2011 - 2012 Volunteer of the Year is Mrs. Erin Hearon! Erin joined us last school year and she has not slowed down since arriving at Huggins! She was the chair of our Spring Gala and dedicates herself to any volunteer task asked of her. She is truly a dedicated volunteer and we appreciate her very much!
VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION WEEK During the week of April 16th – 20th, we celebrated the very special people who support our campus tirelessly all throughout the year with a Volunteer Luncheon on Tuesday, April 17th. Stan C. Stanley Elementary students, parents and faculty came together to raise an impressive $12,649.43 for the Snowdrop Foundation. This summer, the HFAC Actors Academy is offering 37 different 1 and 3-week performing arts camps for grades 1-12. HFAC camps run June 4 through August 26, 2012 and feature acting, singing and dance instruction as well as performance opportunities in musicals, dramas and comedies - especially designed for kids and teens! The HFAC Actors Academy 3-week musical Theatre performance Camps for grades 1-3 and 4-6 are A Year with Frog and Toad, Disney’s Cinderella Kids, Jack and the Giant, and Disney’s The Jungle Book Kids. HFAC is offering twelve 1-week camps for grades 1-6 that include Acting Up, Imagination Theatre, Triple Threat Fun, The Lights of Broadway, Nail that Audition, Disney magic, mix-up melodrama, musical Theatre Song & Dance, Fractured Fairy Tales, Actors Workshop, When You Wish Upon a Star and So You Want to be a pop Star.
