Royal Waste Management encourages residents to call in complaints regarding trash pickup. The crews are participating in a competition whereby the best crew receives a cash bonus at yearend. All complaints are taken seriously and posted internally for all crews to view. Additionally, the crew suffers deductions for each complaint. If you have a complaint regarding the trash service, contact Charles Gregory (Operations Let’s be mindful that as residents, we must do our part by placing waste in trash bags. If you can’t lift the bag or trash receptacle it’s too full. You should consider breaking up your trash into more bags. We encourage you to remove all trash receptacles from curbside before you retire in the evenings. Additionally, the crew cannot pickup paint and other hazardous materials. TEXAS PARKING LAW and other items parked on the streets. As neighbors we must adhere to state law as follows: inspection

Residents are also reminded to keep garage, vehicle and front doors secured when not in use. It would help police if residents also did not keep valuables in plain sight in their vehicles. If a potential thief doesn’t see anything of value, they are apt to keep walking and leave your vehicle alone. Safety lighting is another mechanism to deter nighttime crime. Remember, a safe neighborhood is a cooperative effort between the police and residents. Everyone must be diligent in monitoring and reporting any unusual activities in our community.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

Let’s be mindful to not park in front of a fellow neighbor’s home

Last year, the HOA sponsored several community events whereby neighbors can come out get to know each other and have fun. This year, the same events have been budgeted but to ensure even greater success we need the assistance of volunteers. Additionally, we have standing committees, which require an ongoing commitment of service. Volunteers are needed for the following:

Animals that are not properly restrained pose a threat to all our residents. While you may know your pet is friendly, an animal running at someone who is walking by is very scary for that person. Many children are afraid of animals and become frightened, which could result in the child getting hurt trying to avoid the animal. Harris County Animal Control advises, “All dogs and cats must be kept under restraint while in the unincorporated areas of Harris County, Texas. The custodian of a dog or cat is not authorized to have, harbor or keep any unlicensed dog or cat, nor to allow any dog or cat to become a stray.” circumstances: 1. When it is controlled by a line or leash not more than six (6) feet in length, if the line or leash is held by a human being, who is capable of controlling or governing the dog or cat in question 2. When it is within a fully enclosed vehicle 3. When it is on the premise of the custodian and the animal does not have access to sidewalk or street.” While it may be nice to have your animal out in the yard while you work or play, it is against the law, unless the animal is properly restrained. Let’s all help keep our community a safe and comfortable place for all our residents by being responsible pet owners. This will not only protect anyone who may be walking or bicycling in the area, but also the pet owner who could be held legally responsible or possibly sued for failing to properly restrain their pet.
