Select Art 2023 – During Select Art 2023, Lana will be exhibiting five of her works. The fair takes place 27-29 May at Villa Moma Chania Crete Greece. An exclusive art fair with galleries and dealers participating from more than 17 countries. The works that will be on display are, Dreams of flowers, Liberty, In the heart of bybloss, La reine des neiges, L’aube etincelante
Her work – Lana’s work bring the viewer an instant feeling of happiness and joy. A beautiful color pallet, shapes and expressions of beauty. Her technique is well placed in her own unique style. Reinventing new perspectives on the traditional techniques. She masters a wide ranges of media, such as Acrylics, oil, Gouache and watercolor. Lana’s impressionistic and abstract work brings truly deep beauty of life to the front. Lana’s work in your house or art collection brings the light in your life.
The Artist Lana Taher – Lana was born and raised in Lebanon. She started drawing as a child, not knowing that her talent would become the key to her life’s passion the art world. Lana also participated in several national Exhibitions in Lebanon, including Sou4lebanon exhibition in 2022 which commemorated the memory of the victims of the August 2020 Beirut explosion. She participated in the “Thawra Charity Project” in 2020 to raise funds for people impacted by the crisis, spread awareness on the situation in Lebanon and help heal the suffering through spreading love and positivity through art. In 2018, Lana showcased her first painting at the Masrah Madina exhibition. Lana was also featured in the press and TV interviews.
In his own words - I always aspire to create the “PERFECT” piece of art that combines my personality with my vision. Each piece is created with the desire to bring a new perspective to life and unique qualities. Specifically, I hope that the viewer will be overcome with a sense of happiness, joy, and fulfillment.
The root and inspiration of my work comes from my homeland, Lebanon. My country is filled with so much mesmerizing beauty and splendor. Through my painting, my art captures the inner outer beauty of my ‘The Levant’. The vibrant natural landmarks landscapes that I encounter (along with my travels around the world), imbue my artistic spirit with motivation and purpose. Ultimately, I am seeking to share the magnificence of Lebanon with the wider world.
It is always my goal that my work evokes strong positive emotions for the viewer - there is a special moment when my painting(s) truly draw in the individual, or a group - they feel a vibrant sense of clarity and innocence – there is an authentic sense of simplicity, coupled with a hint of nostalgia.
When I look to the future, I wish to continue to sharpen my technique and ultimately continue to create works that accomplish two key goals:
1) Lift people’s spirits and give a sense of hope & joy to the viewer(s) of my paintings
2) Spread awareness of the absolute splendor of my home country, Lebanon. Lebanon has more than its fair share of challenges and struggles. Nevertheless, it’s simultaneously an incredibly beautiful nation, where hope never dies, and dreams are tenacious pursued regardless of obstacles that may appear.
