BASIC DESIGN The studio explored the elements, principles, art and art forms, color theory and anthropometrics of design. Elements of design includes line, color, shape, form, texture and space..

The subject also explored the principles of design which explores in detail compositions which includes variety, emphasis, unity, balance and contrast. The studio also explained the history and different interior design styles and enjoy combining elements of several styles to create an ideal look. Different interior design styles includes modern, contemporary, minimalist, industrial, rustic, traditional etc.

RESIDENTIAL DESIGN

The residence was designed taking into consideration the clients and their requirements. The family consist of 3 generations – grandparents, parents and children. Among the grandparents one was physically challenged, which required comforting interiors. Among the parents and children, 2 were career oriented and required 2 private office space. The total built- up area is 200 sq. Meter.

FURNITURE DESIGN The task given was to design a furniture with any material possible, done for an age group. The furniture should be the one which can be used in a living room, master bedroom, kids room or a study. The size of the furniture was restricted to 1200mm*600mm and height 1500mm.

I preferred to design a center table. The center table is designed in Modernism style. It has a focal point at one corner which is designed to give an aesthetic look for my furniture.

The project was to design a bank in Bangalore accordance to the comfort of the people and the usage of public and private spaces. The bank is designed to show the simplicity and the continuity of the space. The bank is designed in modern style , which gives a simple and an elegant look, very well presented and used in design. Wall panels and lighting adds an aesthetic value to the space and design. The color scheme red white grey and black are used in the entire space which helps to bring visual warmth to my design.

COMMERCIAL DESIGN (BANK)

Commercial interior design involves the development of interior spaces used for business purposes. Commercial buildings have the primary purpose of making money, so commercial interior design is focused on the usability of a structure.

BRIDAL BOUTIQUE A beautiful bridal boutique can inspire and encourage a bride to fantasize about her wedding. While a bridal shop must carry a wide array of merchandise to suit many styles and sizes, the décor of the shop is what attracts attention from the street and makes customers feel welcome while they look and try on dresses. Through incorporating gentle color, the latest looks and making the atmosphere relaxing, brides and their guests will have no trouble spending time and money in the store.

The boutique is upcoming in Bangalore. The total area of space is 10,520 sq.ft The boutique will have three spaces – bridal wear, jewellery display and a cafe. A luxury, high-end bridal store interior will be done in ethnic style with traditional materials. The result will be a modern shop with ethnic traditional Indian clothing– a perfect wedding package

AIMS The design goal will be to recover traditional Indian crafts and make them work in a modern building

OBJECTIVE To know and to study about the various traditional materials and to implement them in my design.

CONCEPT An attempt to revive a number of traditional Indian craft practices and integrating them with the modern construction techniques. The overall concept of the store is to design a contemporary designer store blending it perfectly with the ethnicity of traditional Indian clothing

RESIDENTIAL DESIGN Residential design is the design of the interior of private residences. As this type Design is very specific for individual situations, the needs and wants of the individual are paramount in this area of interior design. The interior designer may work on the project from the initial planning stage or may work on the remodeling of an existing structure. It is often a very involved process that takes months to fine-tune and create a space with the vision of the client.
