03 Post Disaster Housing The project NIWAS is at the very core of problem solving community space developed for the society of people in the form of a Rehabilitation space Post Disaster and trauma. Site is located at Kozhikode, Kerala. NIWAS has glimpse of catering every need of the people post disaster in their closer vicinity. Site is at a higher altitude than the surrounding areas and is of a 9-acre spread. NIWAS encompasses of varied spaces within the site built using Low-cost construction methods.

Starting from the Lower Level, Grocery and Market Stalls are provided along with Dairy Farm, where Dwelling Units are not provided because there will be vehicles for Loading and Unloading of Goods for the following activities and so along side of these activities, Dwelling Units are not placed. 3. Along with Dairy Farm, Activities like Farmland and Market Stall would also produce Wet/Composting Waste, and so at a min. distance of 6m from both Dairy Farm and Farmland, an on-ground Biogas Plant is placed.

04 Mixed Use Development The project SLANT was proposed by understanding the precinct and what it needs, the site is developed in such a way because of its varied precinct typology. SLANT is a site located at a cross junction and 4.18-acre spread. SLANT is design proposed against the existing structure (shopping complex + RTO Office) and for which sustainable efforts are been made and its intent was to make a Public Place relating to Cultural Identity, which acts as a center for community, using shopping as a means of facilitating Place-Making.
