DESIGN To design a small café using a design style and to design a wallpaper Scandinavian interior design is a minimalistic style using a blend of textures and soft hues to make sleek, modern décor feel warm and inviting. 1. CAFÉ

WALLPAP ER DESI G N

Decorative folk art known as rose-painting, rosemalings is a Scandinavian style of painting that flourished in Norway from the late 1700s until the mid-1850s. Walls and ceilings of churches were decorated with rose paintings.

I’ve designed a graphical wallpaper which is inspired from the story of ‘The comet moth and the moon.’ With Scandinavian folk art touch, shiny golden moon and bright red flowers with white and blue comet moth with moon on its wings.

To create an office interior with detailed activity zoning, presentation and planning of all interior layouts along with detailed furniture layouts.

To create a luxury aesthetic look which includes the bright colour palette and beautifully accented natural features, which would go in unison with a design firm. Where the client as well as workers feel a luxurious environment. The environment inside would be warm and cosy. A firm like design studios get promoted by the work they show, which should start from the office.

3 .RETAIL SHOP DESIGN

To design a retail shop for The Body Shop

CONCEPT

To give a minimalist aesthetic look which includes the bright colour palette and beautifully accented natural features, which would go in unison with The Body Shop retail stores.

So, to bring in the brand identity and the store design and product proposition is fresh, innovative, easy to understand and navigate. The overall impression of the store design is to feel the ethics, honesty, diversity and vitality of the brand.

The Body Shop has been referred to as the second largest cosmetics brand across the globe, with a mainly skincare product offering. Its market position is environmentfriendly and the competitive advantage is nature-based products

A design that represents brands identity by showing the natural curved organic shape. The wave façade is made of aluminium and the white part is concrete texture to show the beauty of contemporary world Ground floor Mezzanine floor 2nd floor

4. GARDEN DESIGN

A part of the ground is being converted into a garden for the residential area around the site. The problem is to design a garden in the selected area which will cater to the people residing in that area.

CONCEPT

The motive is to design a garden where parents can relax and kids can enjoy their evening time by creating a peaceful environment for all age group. Kids will be entertained with various playground equipment's and open space for their individual activity. Adults can walk or sit as per their choice with enough space to do both. Trees and plants will be the main added as there are no existing trees or plants.

The landscape is defined by culture and culture is shaped by landscape. Exploring ways to understand the reciprocal relationship between people and place is vital to re-imagining better cities. Creating public spaces that are active and connected, that can promote well-being, health and equity is the responsibility of the designer.

5. RECREATIONAL SPACE

The aim is to create a recreational space which is not existing in the area selected

PEACE IN CHAOS

For people living in a busy and chaotic city needs a place where they can relax and feel free from the outer world. A place where people can meditate, read books, enjoy pleasant music and many other relaxing activity.

THEME: SERENE LAND

The idea is to design a place with different areas which will help people to find their calm through different relaxing activities like Yoga, scribbling/doodling, reading, music, walking and other relaxing activities.

Location

The land is taken outskirt of the city to be free from noise and air po9lluction and one of the main reason to chose the land is that its near Gorewada lake.

Area taken: 3 acres

The area is located near new katol toll naka, the area is covered with trees and shrubs.

The land is perfect for calm environment and is close for most of the residential and commercial area like vayu sena nagar.

5. INCLUSIVE DESIGN

The aim is to design an apartment for a disabled person as per the users need.

ABOUT PARKINSON’S DISEASE

Parkinson's disease is a long-term degenerative disorder of the central nervous system that mainly affects the motor system. The symptoms usually emerge slowly, and as the disease worsens, non-motor symptoms become more common.

The most obvious early symptoms are tremor, rigidity, slowness of movement, and difficulty with walking.

As the disease progresses, people may have difficulty walking and talking. They may also have mental and behavioral changes, sleep problems, depression, memory difficulties, and fatigue.

USER PERSONA

ABOUT VASUMATHIAMMA

Vasumathiamma lives in Kerala with family. She was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in the year 1995, Her main symptom was tremors. Now under medication.

Vasumathiamma’s day starts with going to washroom, To do her daily chores, later she goes to the living space and have breakfast. Most of the time is spent in her room. vasumathiamma likes to read books and magazines, watching daily serials and spend time with her family.

Age : 82

Even though the disorder is not severe, it is difficult for her to do work that includes cutting, carry/hold any object, and stand for more than 5-10 mins, these are the main difficulties faced by vasumatiamma in Her day to day life .

CONCEPT

The task is to design a 3BHK apartment, where the main focused area will be Vasumathiamma’ s washroom

The idea is to create a calm environment with the shades of dusky and greyish tone which will be achieved through contemporary interior design.

The user movement and needs will be focused in the bedroom and user’s washroom and basic standard will be followed throughout other spaces.

The room is designed with the users needs , A corner with chair is given near the window as she likes to read magazine in the morning. The colours are used according to the users choice. The room is designed in modern contemporary interior style for the residential space.
