Blowing wind arises as a result of change in pressure and temperature driven by uneven heating of atmosphere. ‘Wind energy’ and ‘wind power’ terms describe whole process to generate mechanical power or electricity from wind. A wind turbine is able to capture wind for producing energy. The rotors placed on the wind turbines spin in the blowing wind direction. This movement of spinning blades provides power to generator to produce electricity. Wind turbine works in opposite way of electric fan; perhaps fan uses electricity to produce wind while wind turbines use wind to transform it in electricity. Wind energy is produced by magnets moving past stationery coils of wire called as stator. When this magnet is passed from stator it produces magnetic field but appears to be changing thus inducing electrical current. The mechanical energy is required to rotate axle that gives rise to electrical energy within the wire. The produced electricity is AC electricity is


produced which is converted in DC electricity. This produced electricity can be either stored in batteries or directly fed in national electricity grid to fulfill energy demands of growing population.
