AEPhi National Arrears Policy When any member becomes thirty (30) days delinquent in her chapter bill, the treasurer of the chapter shall notify, in writing, the president and the chapter advisor and the chair of the standards board of the delinquency. The chair of the standards board shall notify the delinquent member to appear before the standards board for a hearing to work out a plan to settle the debt. Every effort shall be made to arrive at a settlement payment plan in the best interest of the chapter and the member. A settlement payment plan shall be agreed upon by the delinquent member and the chapter and until the payment is made in full, the chapter advisor shall hold the member's badge or the new member's pin. Thirty (30) days after the member has entered into a settlement agreement with the chapter, if no attempt has been made by the member to settle the debt, or if the member is not paying the debt in accordance with the settlement agreement, she shall then be called to appear before the standards board who shall thereupon recommend to National Council that the delinquent member be placed on probation for a thirty (30) day period, or pledge to settle her obligation in accordance with her settlement agreement. Sixty (60) days after the member has entered into a settlement agreement with the chapter, if the debt has not been paid in full or if the member is not paying in accordance with the settlement agreement, the member shall be subject to disaffiliation by National Council, in accordance with the disaffiliation provisions set forth in the By-‐laws. AEPhi Local Policies Dues can be paid in several ways: • Cash-‐ Face value of dues • Check-‐ Face value of dues • Credit-‐ Because we are a non profit organization, we must pass on the credit processing fees to members who choose to use this method of payment. There is a 2.75% fee for all swiped cards and a 3.5% fee for all manually entered card numbers. Members who have not paid their dues in full as aforementioned will be completely excluded from all events besides chapter and philanthropy work until a payment plan is established or dues are paid in full. • Partial Payment Plans-‐ Members who are unable to pay in full must provide a credit card number or post dated checks to make up the difference from what they owe. o Every Friday, payment must be collected either through a credit transaction with a 3.5% processing fee or a check being deposited. You have the opportunity to substitute this with a cash payment or other method of payment each Monday at our Chapter Meetings.
