Spring is in the air and this Fashionista knows just how to embrace the spring weather fashion. The cold weather is gone and it’s time to break out those bright colors. Colored denim is a huge trend this season and this Fashionista knows just how to tie it into her preppy and chic style. I love the way this Fashionista paired a jean jacket with a chambray shirt and then added a pop of color with the neon pink shorts. Jean jackets are perfect for the spring weather and can be worn in so many different ways. Mixing and matching different textures and colors as well as adding a little embellishment with her sandals, this Fashionista has the perfect spring look. Name: Kristen Clouser Major: Strategic Communications Year: Senior CollegeFashionista: What are you wearing and where did you get it? Kristen Clouser: I am wearing a chambray shirt from J.Crew and my neon pink shorts are also from J.Crew. My jean jacket is from Old Navy like 10 years ago and my sandals are from Target. I love when clothing styles come back, such as jean jackets. Sometimes I feel like they go out of style but they always come back. CF: What trends are you looking forward to this summer? My name is Kristina Dellovade and I am a senior at the Ohio State University studying strategic communications, with a focus in public relations and advertising. Fashion has always been a huge part of my life which is why I am excited to join the CollegeFashionista team. I grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and now attend college in the Buckeye State where I have found that much of the fashion influences in both of these cities are heavily influenced by their sports teams. I love attending sporting events, but I just prefer to leave the Steeler and Buckeye apparel for game days. I believe fashion allows you to express yourself differently on a daily basis in your own unique way. During these cold winter months I love wearing boots and lots of layers. In my closet you will find lots of blouses, chunky sweaters, leggings and lace tops. One of my favorite things to do is mix and match different textures, such as a lace top with a studded bracelet or boots. Mixing and matching high and low price points is the key for many college students to stay on budget. Although I may love designers such as Marc Jacobs and Diane von Furstenberg my budget just simply can’t afford it most of the time. I love stores like Forever 21 and H&M because they allow you to put together a fashionable outfit at a reasonable cost. I will be doing Spotlight Fashionista/o of the week this semester, and I’m so excited to show everyone some of the Fashionista’s and Fashionisto’s that are at Ohio State’s campus.
