Strawberry: Russian Poster Art
Kristi Ann Sanidad. Strawberry: Russian Poster Art. November 2010. Strawberry, my second style that I decided on for the design problem is Russian Poster Art. In the artwork, you see a deep red strawberry at the side that transitions to layers straight down to a spill. Top left side, labels the name Strawberry found in a splatter/spill. Lastly, behind the giant strawberry is a bold text in white with a black backdrop, a banner that reads YUM.

E|Y Magazine Cover

During my sophomore year in high school, my classmates and I worked on a team project for a editorial, educational magazine that was called, the E|Y Magazine (Educated Youth Magazine.) For this project, we were all given roles and jobs such as editors, writers, technology specialists, photographer, etc. I was given the role of cover artist who’s job was to create the magazine’s front and back cover along with all of its layouts within the magazine. Also, I was the supervisor of this project. Everyone would meet up in meetings and discuss the magazine’s contents. For the front cover’s design, I got in touch with with the featured articles to create the cover.

Elemental Tarots

For my individual project this time around, I’ve called it the, Elemental Tarots, which is another component of graphic design with the concept of tarot cards. I focused on a design that would consist of the four natural elements(i.e. water, fire, air, earth) that have been modernized by giving each design a pop further explore my skills and improve them by understanding the concept of a theme and analyzing its meaning, history, and perception. Kristi Ann Sanidad. Sketch: Self Portrait. January 2012. For Studio Arts I major class, students were assigned to do a self portrait of themselves using pencil as our medium. Beforehand, portrait photos were taken with dramatic lighting. For my photo, I held the lighting under my face while the instructor took pictures. By holding the light under my face, exaggerated face while taking note of the shadows that are created by the lighting. Medium: Pencil on Paper

Mannequin Head: ‘Dual Swan’
Kristi Ann Sanidad. Mannequin Head: ‘Dual Swan’. January 2012. given the opportunity to use our imagination for this assignment without any restrictions. For my piece, I knew that I wanted to create something with contrast. I decided on having dual personalities as the subject’s theme: like a white & black swan. I painted the mannequin head with a light skin tone. For my creation, I made the face makeup, feathers, and head piece the main focus while complimenting her with accessories like rhinestones and gems.
