With leggings, sports bras, and tank tops, this new brand will appeal to the health conscious and fitness savvy women of the world. k a r m a will bring the same fresh and edgy style that is alice + olivia to the yoga mat. This collection allows the mix of style and fitness. Breathable and hydrophobic fabrics are used to make fashionable and flattering pieces to add to the good feeling women have while working out. It is important to us that we always strive to make women feel their best everywhere they go.

customer narrative The first thing I hear in the morning is always one of two things: my children or my alarm. As soon as those sounds hit my ear, my husband, Eric, and I are wide-awake. This morning it was my five-year-old son, Jayden. It’s his first year going to school and his excitement always gets him up earlier than I do. We go straight into our morning routine. I go downstairs to make coffee and cook Jayden and his older sister, Juliette, breakfast while Eric gets ready. When they’re done eating, Eric helps Jayden get ready while I shower and blow-dry my hair quickly. Then we switch so he can change into his suit and I can do Juliette’s hair and help her decide what to wear that day. I take Juliette to my room to finish getting ready, she’s only seven but she loves watching me put on my makeup and help me decide on what outfit to wear to work. When we’re all ready, we take the kids to school a block from our apartment and catch a cab into the city together. We got lucky that our jobs are only ten city blocks away from each other. I get to work at 9:00 a.m. every morning. After my crazy morning with the kids, it’s actually relaxing to walk into my office. I run around and get my marketing plan finalized, get the ads from the printer, and set everything up in the conference room for my 11 o’clock meeting with the people from Swarovski. After closing the deal, I get to go on my hour lunch break, another daily routine I never break. I change into my yoga clothes, grab my mat from under my desk and go downstairs for my half-hour long yoga class. When I get back, my intern already has my salad from Protein Bar waiting for me on my desk. My lunch break is my favorite part of the day, I come back to work relaxed and feeling great. The rest of the day is a lot of paperwork for the Swarovski deal and

co-workers running things past me or asking for my opinion. By 5 o’clock, I’m itching to go home and see the kids. I get home around 6 o’clock usually. I pay the babysitter and think about what to do for dinner. Throughout the week, I like to cook healthy meals that are quick. Chicken or fish with a lot of veggies is my specialty. The kids love the weekends because I let them order pizza or take them somewhere to have chicken tenders and fries. The kids and I play games or put on a movie while dinner is in the oven and we wait for Eric to come home. His days can run longer if he’s working on a case. We eat around 7:30 and after that it’s time to get the kids ready for bed. While Eric reads the kids a bedtime story, I clean the kitchen up and pour us each a glass of red wine. We do this every night and watch our shows together. Tonight there’s a new How to Get Away with Murder on TiVo for us to watch. During commercials we don’t fast forward and use it as our time to talk about our days. When it’s over we go and get ready for bed ourselves, he kisses me goodnight before I turn off the lamp on my nightstand.

k a r m a is inspired by alice + olivia’s very own Stacey Bendet. Stacey loves yoga and makes it an important part of her everyday life. Fitness has been trending for almost a decade and doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. Even for those who have not yet joined the trend, getting fit has been the top New Year’s resolution for the past five years. Women everywhere are taking control of their bodies and striving to maintain a healthy lifestyle. We hope to inspire women to feel great about their bodies and give them another reason to feel comfortable in their own skin.
