Thank you so much for your interest in my portrait photography services. I strive to provide my clients with a pleasing photography experience, great images, a diverse product line and exceptional customer service. I absolutely love taking photos, I love the interaction I get to have with my clients, and the genuine bonds I form with them. My greatest joy is being able to give you images that you can hold on to and treasure for many years to come. I am a natural light, lifestyle photographer and I combine traditional portraiture with photojournalism to create images that tell your story. That little toddle that all too quickly becomes a run, those chubby cheeked dimples, or that expression of complete innocence — I believe every little bit of life is worth celebrating — from the everyday to the extraordinary. I love to capture real moments with your child and between you and your family. I will capture a variety of loosely posed and completely candid moments to ensure the moments and relationships that matter to you can be celebrated for a lifetime. I want my images to tug at your heart, to bring tears to your eyes and to show you how beautiful and wonderful your family is. I want to create a timeless image that captures the special magic that surrounds this time in your lives. WHAT TO EXPECT

Before Your Shoot
During Your Session Just relax and have fun! I will give you tons of ideas and directions throughout your session to help you feel at ease. I find the best photos to be candid photos because that is when you are at your most relaxed state. It is always my goal to capture your family doing the things that come naturally to you. I may ask you to do or say some things that are kind of silly in order to draw these interactions out. Don’t be surprised if we bust a move to some music on my iPhone or use a little potty humor from time to time! Oftentimes, these will be your favorite photographs- the ones you will treasure forever. Sessions typically take about one hour, but I have been known to go longer (if we are on a roll or need more time) or shorter (if we have enough shots and your little ones need a break). If we need to stop in the middle of the session for a snack or potty break, that is absolutely fine. There is no rush at all. It is important to me that you are feeling relaxed and having fun!

After Your Session Your photographs will be ready to view no later than 2 weeks following your session. If you chose to receive your pictures via the online gallery, you will receive an email from me containing a link and password to view your photographs. You will have two weeks from the time you receive your gallery to make any online print orders that you wish to make. You can email the link and password to family and friends so they can view them and order prints as well! If you chose to have a Photo Premier and Design Consultation we will pick a time to meet, and I will show you a slideshow of your images set to music, give you your digital images, show you examples of the beautiful heirloom products that are available for you so you can pick out what you love! I will use design software on my iPad that takes pictures of walls in your home and shows you what photos from your session would look like on your walls in real life! There is no pressure to buy anything- it is a service I provide simply to help my clients get their photographs from disk to print, just like they belong! Once your order has been placed, your beautiful package will arrive within 3-4 weeks!

Can we use props during our session? Sometimes the best photographs are the simplest, where a beautiful backdrop and subject really shine. However, if you have something you are envisioning for your session, please use the questionnaire as an opportunity to share this with me. I enjoy being creative and work hard to make your session unique rather than just copying an idea that has already been done. Pinterest is a great place for inspiration, so fee free to share pins with me that you like. I will make sure to take this input and try and put a new creative spin on it so that it is unique to you! It’s ok if you don’t have any ideas either! I’m happy to develop a concept for you!
What if my kid freaks out/misbehaves during the session? Please do not stress about behavior! I have YEARS of experience working with children and have children of my own. I have pretty much seen it all! I have lots of little tricks that will help your kiddos stay on track, but if they don’t that’s ok too. We will laugh it off together and maybe I’ll even take an ‘outtake’ picture or too! ;;-) I promise that I will not judge...as long as you don’t judge me when you see my kid screaming in the grocery store!
Can I bring our dog to our session? Absolutely! I have two fur-babies at home as well so I totally get it :-) I am happy to include your furry family friend in your session. Now that being said, I have noticed that when dogs are included, owners tend to stress more and stress shows in photographs so please think about your dog’s obedience skills and whether or not you feel adding him or her will be stressful. If so, you may want to leave your pooch at home. Bring treats, a squeaky toy, and poop bags if you do include them. DON’T FORGET THE POOP BAGS! :)
What can I do about blemishes? Do not worry! Almost everyone has days with less than perfect skin. Applying makeup properly can help make sure your images look their best. Part of your session fee includes professional editing of your photos and I am crazy good at removing blemishes, softening skin, and lightening undereye skin. Be confident, you are beautiful just the way you are and I am known for capturing my cleints in their best light.
PHOTO PREMIER & DESIGN CONSULT WHAT IS IT? Be honest. How many of your photographs do you actually display? If you are guilty of letting your photos live on your computer instead of your walls, the Photo Premier & Design Consultation is for you! It is a complimentary and optional service I provide to clients as a way to help you display your images in your home. I will come to your house, let you preview your images in a slideshow set to music, show you samples of high-quality heirfloom products, and use my design software to illustrate how your images will look on the walls of your home or in an album.

IS IT FOR ME? If you are already pretty good at printing photos and designing wall galleries, you will probably be just fine without the Premier. However, if you’re guilty of not printing photos or would like some professional advice on hanging your art, this is a great service for you. If you’re not sure, give it a shot since it’s cpmplimentary with no obligation.
