Senior Photos aren’t what they used to be:
Senior portraits truly are not what they used to be. We didn’t even have senior photos taken “back in the day”! Whatever photographer they brought into the high school was who we had our photo taken with for the yearbook. That was it. There wasn’t any choice of locations or even backdrops, changing outfits and changing hairstyles or accessories was not an option and there was definitely no style involved! It was an assembly line of seniors in the same poses; it wasn’t personal and it wasn’t fun. The entire experience was meh,
Today’s high school graduate is dynamic and way more worldly (thanks internet)! Seniors these days are totally different creatures. Millennial grads are empowered and smart, they’re involved and they are worldly. The class of 2018 isso much more put together and part of society than I was as a senior. I absolutely love helping my seniors style their portrait session. Grad sessions are always unique and they’re always fun. Every senior that I work with is encouraged to be who they are. They can be shy or outgoing. Dressing up or dressing down is up to the individual. Styling is a big part of our initial consultation. We talk about everything, not just portraits. Getting to know my client at that first meeting helps me to really hone in on their personality and what kind of person they are The consultation appointment let’s everyone get to know me, too. To create amazing portraits we need to feel comfortable together. The most important part of my job is delivering an organic, custom product that is unequivocally you.
This is likely the last time your child will be photographed professionally... until their WEDDING! Take a moment and savor this time... capture who your child is right now before they venture out into the world to become the amazing adult you’ve helped guide along their path until now.
Who doesn’t doesn want to feel like a supermodel?! I work with a professional hair and makeup artist for my girl seniors (and guys if they want a quick styling) and we give them a day that they will never forget!

What to expect for your Senior Shoot:
*Expect to bring at least 5 outfits so we have lots to play with. And accessories are always a good idea! Headbands, jewelry, shoes, scarves, props...all make the photos more dynamic. *Expect an hour of hair and makeup to get ready then at least two other shorter periods of time in the chair to amp up your look for each new outfit. *Expect changing backgrounds, seating, lighting, and lots and lots of posing. You will likely be a little sore the next day! Being a model is hard work. But I'm here to guide you in order to get the best shots possible...and sometimes it feels awkward, but always looks great. *Expect to have fun! It's a little daunting getting in front of a camera when the focus is all you. But I promise, we always have laughs and it's always a fun time. *After your session, we will meet again in person for your photo reveal, where we will go over all of the lightly edited photos for you to make your final selections. My job is to make you want to buy them all but you aren’t required to buy any! Only purchase what you love.

A week or two before the photoshoot, schedule those pampering appointments! Schedule a manicure for the day before and make an appointment the week before for hair touch-ups if needed. These little things will get you camera-ready! Gather your wardrobe together... or better yet, go shopping! Make sure you have your outfits, as well as approriate undergarmets for each. Don’t forget the accessories! Jewelery, hats, scarves, shoes... place everything in a bag and attach to a hanger for each outfit to keep things coordinated.
Then it’s time for your makeover!

Studio sessions are the ideal solution to a stressfree and fun photoshoot experience. Avoid the crazy, unpredictable Atlanta weather with an indoor magazine-style session in my professional studio. Guys and girls get the royal treatment and feel like a model for the day! Professional hair and makeup is included and ma sessions typically last 2-3 hours.
