TIPS FOR

success

• Less is more when it comes to marketing collateral on your table. Focus on showcasing the products and starting conversations with your guests instead, using the simple 90-second conversation outline! • Think about focusing your product approach to the audience. For example, show how different items can be functional for the mom-tobe, new mom, mom of multiples or the gift-giver!

• Hint! You can showcase your products with other Thirty-One products inside. Allow your Customers to be pleasantly surprised when they look inside. • For example, moms love the All About the Benjamins wallet and Rubie Mini for all their go-to items.

TABLE

• We suggest to take photos, post and go LIVE on social media either during or after your event. This is an opportunity to reach out to additional people who may not be guests at your event! • As you prepare, think about how you’ll start the conversation. You’ll want to tell her about Thirty-One, but first try to just chat! Thirty-One is about fun, functional products and empowering women, but it’s also about YOU and the rest of our amazing Consultants! Take the time to build those connections. See page 4 for our Sales Team’s approach. • Wear business casual or a Thirty-One shirt with a name tag for a professional look!

HAVING TROUBLE ENGAGING GUESTS? Try out this simple 90-second conversation outline to get the ball rolling! • Greeting • Thirty-One is a female-owned company, providing women the opportunity to run their own successful business. • We sell organizational solutions for you, your home and your family. Our products are unique because you have the ability to personalize them, which makes for great gifts. • Which product captured your attention first? Can I share more with you? • Gather contact information

set-up

PUTTING IT INTO

practice

We hope you’re excited to share Baby by Thirty-One at a vendor show, expo or other events! Here are a few tips and ideas to help you prepare and share the fun of Thirty-One. We also encourage you to get creative and add your own personality!

HAVE SOME FUN! Games and door prizes are both great ways to draw people into your booth and spark their interest. Here are a couple you can try out, but feel free to come up with your own ideas based on budget and event!

THINGS YOU MAY NEED: Recommended • Baby by Thirty-One products of your choosing • Props to show products in use (like diapers, bottles or toys) • Sign-in sheets (pg. 6) • Opportunity Brochure • Organizing Mini Catalog • Baby checklist flier or Baby by Thirty-One flier

DOOR PRIZE IDEA: Guess how many

• Pens (optional: branded pens)

You will need:

Additional recommendations

• Tablecloth

• A clear baby bottle

• Game or door prize

• Small items like candies, safety pins, buttons or small toys

• Banners or signs

• Pens

• Boxes to elevate products

• Clipboards

• Voting cards (pg. 8) • Littles Carry-All Caddy (or another product or vessel to collect answers)

How to play: Fill the bottle with the small items (Be sure to count how many you add!). Ask guests to guess how many items are in the bottle and write down their name, contact information and answer on a voting card. At the end of the day, determine whose guess is closest and contact the winner! Determine a prize based on your business and your budget.

INCORPORATE GIVES Take this opportunity to share with guests about Thirty-One Gives, our mission partners and the ways that we give back to the community!

GAME IDEA: Baby trivia Invite guests to test their baby IQ with a fun trivia game. Hand out trivia cards to each guest, along with a pen to use. Give them 5-7 minutes to guess the answers, then collect their cards along with their contact information. After the expo, contact the guest or guests with the most correct answers to let them know they’ve won a prize! Baby by Thirty-One HOW-TO EVENT GUIDE | 3

HERE’S HOW

we did it

Want an insider’s look at how our Sales Team approaches Baby by Thirty-One at expos and vendor events? Here’s a quick overview of our strategy.

CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE:

TO PREPARE FOR AN EVENT WITH 1,500 GUESTS, WE BROUGHT: • 3 (backdrop) banners

• To start the conversation, we invited guests to vote on their favorite diaper bag, and in return Thirty-One Gives would donate 31 cents on their behalf. This approach was a purposeful and unique way to attract Customers into the booth to view our new baby collection. Each diaper bag was merchandised as a solution set, meaning it was shown with 2+ Thirty-One accessories. Products were also shown with the latest trends in baby products (diapers, swaddles, bottles, etc.) By merchandising our diaper bags, multiple types of moms and gift givers could see themselves wearing, using and gifting our products.

• Table with grey tablecloth

• We handed out pink rubber ducks and voting ballots as a unique approach to start the conversation with guests. HINT: Take some time and think about a unique way YOU can attract guests to your booth!

• 250 Baby Checklist fliers

• How we started the conversation: “Have you heard of Thirty-One? We’ve been in business for 15 years and just launched our new Baby collection! To celebrate we’re asking people to vote on their favorite product, and when you do – we will donate 31 cents to Ronald McDonald House Charities® on your behalf. Would you like to check out our new collection and vote?”

• 550 Pink rubber ducks with Thirty-One logo

• Product • Merchandising items to stage diapers bags (risers, stuffed animals, swaddles, diapers, etc.) • Clipboards with contact sheets to gather name, number and email • 250 Baby fliers • 250 Opportunity Brochures • 250 Organizing Minis
