Climbing, descending, motoring over root and rock sections—the geometry needs to lend itself to doing it all. Our Trail Geometry was developed with this knowledge at the forefront of the design, and year after year, we keep perfecting on perfection. It all starts with handling, which is why you'll find roomy top tubes and slack head tubes that inspire confidence over any terrain. And to ensure maximum efficiency, our Trail Geometry always features the short chainstays to enhance power transfer, while also keeping the rear end nice and tight for nimble handling.

FACT CARBON FSR FRAME Whether you're going up or down the trail, it's no secret that lighter is faster. That's why our engineers obsessively work at refining our carbon frames to shave every non-essential gram. At the same time, every tube's shape and location is scrutinized, resulting in a sleek, stronger design that's optimized for utility. In terms of efficiency, it also allows for internal cable routing, massive bottom bracket shells, 142mm or greater rear hub spacing, and a tapered head tube. And for handling, FACT IS carbon frames permit a FSR 6-Pack or Concentric shock linkage for the perfect pivot location and suspension movement. FSR SUSPENSION For over 20 years, we've been continually refining our FSR Suspension platform to make sure that you get the most comfort, control, and efficiency possible out of your ride. FSR features strategically placed pivot points that effectively decouple the suspension from drivetrain and braking forces, resulting in a fully active and fully independent suspension. It's the only shock that knows the difference between rider and terrain inputs, so it’s firm when you're going for it and active over the bumps. FACT CARBON FRAME When it comes to the creating the perfect blend of climbing efficiency and proper trail manners, it's nearly impossible to beat a carbon hardtail frame. The reasons for this are stacking. To start, compared to a full-suspension mountain bike, the lack of linkages, shocks, and extra cables saves a tremendous amount of weight. Then there's the issue of the power transfer of pedaling forces. With a hardtail, you'll never run the risk of dissipating your efforts by compressing the suspension with your pedal stroke, meaning that every watt is going straight to the rear end of the bike. And with a carbon fiber construction, this is amplified to a high degree.

Not all carbon wheelsets have to cost an arm and a leg. Case in point are the Roval Control 29 Carbon mountain bike wheels. Using techniques learned while developing the SL iteration of the Control 29, these wheels are able to produce the lightweight XC performance you need at a more attainable price.
