The Wellness Centre in Kundli is a recreational centre with health faciltities including various massages, spa, hamaam, treatments, therapies, gymnasium, yoga and swimming, while the patients are allowed to accommodate there only till the time they are being treated. The entire site and building has been strictly designed as per the Vaastu principles. The site is still under construction - the landscaping and interior finishing is in process.

It is a contemporary design, set extremely well into the site conditions. Though the external materials - Raj Green stone and Khareda Buff colored stone, give an Indianised look overall. Two skylights made in Mild Steel and Slate Tiles have been installed at 1. Second Floor Level and 2. Mumty Level. Former one, serve as an element to light up the entrance lobby on the ground floor whcih is a double height space and latter one, accommodates the water tanks and boilers above the mumty.

EDGE CONDITION OF SKYLIGHT
4.25 m wide span skylight has openings on the sides as well as on the top. The main framework is done in Mild Steel with EPDM as waterproofing, with wooden purlins on top in longitudinal and transverse direction. The topmost layer is done in slate tiles kept alternatively on top of each other as shown in the image and detail.

SWIMMING POOL The pool covers an area of approximately 100 sq.m, has been built in the North East portion of the site, with direct access from the courtyard of the building. The pool and its deck are finished in Raj Green sandstone, with changing room and open shower facility in the premises. This court is adorned with beautiful plants of Mogra, Zephranthus Orange and Heliconia.

METAL SCREENS
The mild steel screens are done at the windows facing south and west, and also at the windows of the therapy rooms on the ground floor. Mild steel pipes, flats and perforated sheets have been used to build them. The louvres are set at an angle to cut off the direct sunlight from coming into the rooms.

INNER COURTYARD
The courtyard built over an area of approximately 13m x 13m, serves as an open therapy area. The court takes the form of yin-yang, when seen in plan, covered with grass texture. A reflexology path, finished in diferent sizes of stones and gravel surrounds it. One is supposed to walk barefoot in this area. Two beautiful trees of Chikrassy and Indian Coral adorn the courtyard.

2016 Residence for Mr. G, Rohini, New Delhi DRAWING ROOM AND DINING AREA
The apartments is a duplex flat in a co-operative group housing - second and third floor. This raw apartment has been completely redesigned architecturally keepng in mind the client’s requirements. The house being on the corner, is very well-lit and ventilated with widened openings in all the rooms. Unnecessary partitions were removed to convert into beautiful new rooms with attached baths. The most challenging part was to scoop out the liveable spaces It comprises of a drawing room, dining adjacent to the kitchen, carriage staircase (done in mild steel which reaches the terrace level) in the centre of the house, a pooja room in the north east as per Vaastu, four bedrooms, three attached bathrooms, a powder room, a store, well-lit lobby and mumty with services on the terrace. False ceiling has been done in every room to provide heat insulation from direct heat gain from the terrace.

Decorations have been kept to a minimum to impart an elegant contemporary look with straight features. Ambaji white marble and white, gray and teak brown color scheme on the furniture and walls, and large fenestrations have been done to give a feeling of the larger space.

A Ride To The Cosmos : COSMODROME, Maharashtra
CONCEPT AND FORM EVOLUTION
“Our future lies beyond the limits of the sky” Since ages, with the need of the hour, inventions were done. As we are connected to each and every part of this planet and we aim for more, it’s time to connect to the extra-terrestrial world (not aliens), but making ‘space’ within the reach of all. Why not the dream of any human to touch the stars can convert into a reality ?! The resources are here, the technology is here and still everybody just fantasizes the ‘to be reality of the future’. Cosmodrome is all about the simple concept of a balloon carrying a pod up into the space. The facility will provide an unmatched experience to the travellers and their family members. This will be a privately handled project and the travellers will be paying a huge sum of amount to have this unusual experience.

PROJECTS DURING INTERNSHIP
During my entire internship, I worked on various landscape projects at Siddhartha Das Studio and Design Cell. The major works at SDS included tree transplantation of the JDCA, Bhubaneshwar site, where I was required to do a complete plotting of existing trees on the site and relocate them within the premises for the museum to come up. These bamboo stalls were designed for JDCA Film Festival at IDCOL Auditorium, Bhubaneshwar in Jan’16. And, the major work at DC included the site planning and landscaping of The Royal Academy in Bhutan. The most favourite projects done was this monolithic concrete bench designed for BM Munjal University at Gurgaon.

STYLSPOT is a fashion recommedation engine, started in 2015. As a graphic designer of the team, this was one the major project done by me. Other than this, I used to create festive graphics, did editing work on Photoshop, work on the color schemes etc.

HANDS ON WORKSHOP - HEMISPHERICAL DOME
The objective of the summer school was to create awareness on the need to move towards a Green Habitat based on cost-effective building design and construction technology that is, at the same time, environmentally sustainable. It was also to explore Laurie Baker’s approach to habitat development, rooted in the idea of sustainability. The curriculum consisted of field visits, interactive sessions and hands-on-workshops. The batch was taken to various projects done by Baker in Trivandrum and was taught about the building techniques that were opted by him. We majorly worked on filler slabs, rat-trap bonds, mud and bamboo construction, stone masonary, domes and arches in brickwork, various finishes that he used.
