JULEP TILE COMPANY About The Company Founded in 2010 by Peter and Kirsten Sharp, Julep Tile Company provides classic, timeless designs handcrafted in an environmentally-conscious manner.

unique Inspired by a love of intricate textile and wallpaper patterns, our collection provides an elegant backdrop for any kitchen or bathroom. From the sophisticated Damask design to the charming Bloom pattern, our tiles and trim are available in a range of soft, earthy colors.

handcrafted

Owners, Peter & Kirsten Sharp

Each tile is handmade in our Louisville, Colorado studio by our team of skilled artisans. From its beginnings as a freshly-pressed tile to being hand-glazed and finally fired in our electric kilns, our manufacturing process requires each piece to be touched by hand an average of fifteen times before it is shipped out to your home.

eco-friendly Every order is created with minimal impact on the environment. Rather than manufacturing in two firings ‒ a bisque firing followed by a glaze firing ‒ we achieve exceptional quality in a single firing, reducing our energy use significantly. Each project is made to order in the color and amount of your choosing, minimizing excess wastage. When the order is complete, leftover clay scraps are recycled allowing us to use them for the next project. Packaging materials are reused at every opportunity. At Julep Tile Company, we strive to create high-quality, handcrafted tile that makes you excited to be in your home. We hope you enjoy our product as much as we enjoy making it.

Julep Tile Company is pleased to introduce

TWO-COLOR tile to our collection.

Inspired by flocked wallpaper featuring a single tone in two different finishes, now any two glazes from our palette can be paired on a single tile. Since our tile is pressed in sections, this requires a laborious process of masking, glazing and hand painting but the results are stunning. Pair a glossy glaze with a satin, a crackle with a watercolor ďŹ nish ‒ Our extensive glaze palette provides a variety of options and colors to choose from. Please see page 33 for more details.

Usage Notes Variation in color is part of what makes handmade tile beautiful. For an evenly distributed look, please mix your tiles well before installation. *Glazes with codes beginning in CL and CR will continue to develop cracks over time (a natural glaze process called crazing) and are not suitable for installation in extremely wet areas. Variation in color and amount of cracking is to be expected with these glazes. Stone Gray (CC 0407-1 2187) has a higher than normal level of color variation. When pairing Steel Gray (CC 0407-2 2232) with another color as part of TwoColor tile the Steel Gray will have a slightly different finish to that shown on sample boards.
