Pickup Game Policy

PICKLEBALL

Come in and play pickleball, all skill levels welcome. All participants must check in at our athletics kiosk before play. This is not a led class; participants will be responsible for creating a rotation amongst themselves if players are there waiting to play. If participants are unable to do so, gym attendants will create a waitlist for teams of 2. Limited equipment will be provided; however participants are welcome to bring their own paddles. All TSA Kroc Center gym and facility policies apply. Members only. Games are to 11 win by 2. Must be 14 years or older to play.

BASKETBALL & VOLLEYBALL

Pickup basketball and volleyball are designed for ages 14 and over to play a few friendly games. To allow our teams to compete in an organized fashion, signups for pickup will start at 6:30pm at the kiosk with the Gym Attendant. Members and Day pass users must sign up themselves and must be present and in line to be on the list. Members and Day pass users may not hold spots for others. Gym attendants will be sure signups follow the list in succession— no skipping spots or teams. The next team on the list will be on the side of the court keeping score.

BASKETBALL

Teams of 5 will be created by the sign-up sheet. Games are to 12 by 1’s and 2’s or highest score with a 12-min time limit (subject to change). Players will call their own fouls and ref their own games. No shooting free throws, as fouls will be taken out at half court. No shot clock.

VOLLEYBALL

Teams of 6 will be created by the sign-up sheet. Games are to 21, with subject to change to 15. Next team will ref the game by calling serve, net violations, and provide two-line judges and a score keeper.

ROTATION OF TEAMS

To allow everyone the opportunity to compete, the winning team will stay on the court for a maximum of two (2) consecutive games. On their second win, winners must go back on the wait list along with losing team. Two new teams will then enter the court.

ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY

The Kroc Center Hawaii Athletic Center has a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY—NO CUSSING OR FIGHTING. Players who do so will be dismissed immediately from the Athletic Center and be asked NOT to return until the next day. Kroc Center Hawaii memberships can and will be revoked if deemed necessary by the Member Services Desk.
