Genetic medical technologies could soon edit your children’s genes and, in the meantime, they can select embryos without chromosomal abnormalities. Thanks to gene drives, we already have the capacity to wipe out the malaria-carrying mosquito entirely. Should we? Will we still be the same kind of human if we do?
