1 H E A LT H C A R E OBJECTIVE A physician’s group that specializes in gastroenterology, located in Scottsdale, Arizona is opening a new digestive health clinic. The clinic will focus on preventing, diagnosing, and treating digestive disorders.The clinic’s goal is to advance the delivery of care for patients suffereing from all digestive health conditions.

CONCEPT Patient experience is the main focus of this design and will be achieved through providing a space that feels spa-like while also meeting medical needs.

2 WORKPLACE OBJECTIVE Spotify is looking for a new workplace located in Castleberry, the creative district of Atlanta, Georgia. Spotify prides itself in a very diverse workplace environment, with a unique range of individuals that fill it’s positions.

CONCEPT Seeking to find a balance in design that creates community, open floor planning with many collaboration and touchdown spaces will be implemented. Branding and the mood of the company will be a focus throughout the space through graphics and active colors and textures.

FOCUS AREA: THE HUB


Exterior Stage

The exterior serves as a connection to the community, providing a casual gathering area for music based events.

Outdoor seating for employees near the hub’s cafe provides individuals with dedicated outdoor space.


Stair Landing

Large graphics cover the walls of the landing providing a focal point for the hub.

Hightop tables provide an alternative surface to work from with a view of the hub.


Cafe Area

Various postures of seating fill the cafe area providing flexible space for groups and individuals.

A covered booth area helps to break up the cafe space from the lounge and stage area.

7 Conference Room

In between spaces provide many options for employees to perch and work from throughout the work day. This empowers employees to feel like they have ownership in their workplace.


3 HOSPITALITY OBJECTIVE In Chicago, IL, design a new gastro pub in an existing building with an authentic, casual and organic atmosphere. The restaurant should contain a level change, and private dining option.

CONCEPT Seed and Sprout provides a family friendly atmosphere with a blend of industrial and organic elements.A neutral palette is balanced with various textures and shapes while keeping the focus on the food.

Linear ceiling beams run the length of the bar leading to a raised dining area. A window topped wall separates the bar from the booth seating.

The feature bar, provides bar height seating as well as a lowered accessible portion.

Cove booth seating provides an intimate conversation space. A plant partition wall adds to the intimacy, while separating dining spaces.

Servers station located in close proximity to the bar, kitchen and various dining areas provides ease of access.

With cascading greenery down window walls, a patio like greenhouse environment invites guests in. Strands of bulb lighting soften the space and create a warm, charming effect.

Lounge seating near the entry and bar provides a comfortable space for drinks and appetizers.



4 PUBLIC SERVICE OBJECTIVE Resprio is a facility that houses homeless youth refugees and is located in El Paso, Texas. The goal of the space was to create a safe space for the individuals to help them navigate their transition from displacement to permanent housing.

CONCEPT Driving the project was a focus on safety, sanctuary, and access to resources. The wellness clinic provides the residents with access to physical and mental healthcare. Private bedrooms provide the residents with a safe space to call their own through this transition. The design incorporates a multitude of color and pattern creating a welcoming environment.

Creating a dedicated space for individuals to have resources for physical and mental health provides the residents with a sense of safety and positivity.

The waiting area provides enough space for individuals to bring someone with them and creates a level of security, comfort and trust from the moment they enter the clinic.

Within the exam rooms are an exam table, guest chair and physicians chair, creating a triangle of trust between the patient, family and practitioner.

Vibrant colors create a feeling of optimism and can be a connection to culture for the patients.


5 EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVE NEXT Hub aims to provide students of all ages and backgrounds an alternative, location to gather, connect, explore and engage. Located in Washington DC, the Hub resides on the 10th and 11th floor of a building in the Penn Quarter.

CONCEPT Design inspiration was taken from the heavy historical presence in the area, specifically, Abraham Lincoln. Drawing from Abraham Lincolns bravery and efforts of his lifetime, the NEXT Hub is aiming to inspire and remind students that an education is attainable and the future is bright.

6 RETAIL OBJECTIVE To create a bike shop that focuses on human interaction and collaboration in the Chicago neighborhood of Wicker Park. Appealing to the youthful demographic in the area, the shop will service young adults, commuters, avid athletic individuals, and the casual cyclists.

CONCEPT To provide a space of collaboration and exploration centered around cycling, this shop will provide an urban, outdoorsy atmosphere for city cyclists. This bike shop will allow locals room to upgrade and repair current bikes, while also providing a wide range of new bike products. By mixing textures and neutral tones with allow for the bikes to be the focus.

High ceilings in the retail area provide an open experience for customers to explore and roam.

A large wall mural, hanging bikes, and wall advertisments guide the viewing experience through the space.

A large cash wrap helps divide the space between customer and employee zones.

Providing customers with open access to an assisted repair area adds to the reach of customers this store serves.


7 RESIDENTIAL OBJECTIVE Design a concept condo model unit that will be in an exsiting Grand Rapids brick building. The design should be far from the whites, greys and shiplap. This model unit should serve as a selling point for the condo group and should stand out from the norm.

CONCEPT Through finishes, furnishings and space planning, this model unit provides a new fresh take on the modern condo and will ultimately lead buyers to this condo complex over others. Incorporating the exsisting brick and the industrial nature of the building with natural woods, pops of color and varying texture combine to create an eye catching model condo unit.

Continuing to balance industrial elements with natural warmth, the bathroom takes a clean lined approach paired with warm wood tones.

Geometric line repetition is also balanced with smooth curves as seen in the mirror and lighting fixtures.

A balance of urban, raw materials such as brick, wood and metals are inspired from the city itself.

Splashes of color liven the space and provide a unique stylized space to draw buyers in.

A working wall keeps the kitchen highly functional providing all the ameneties of a full sized home kitchen.
