City Nature Challenge Hikes

Join us to learn how to use your smart phone and the iNaturalist App to record identifications of plants and animals in Johnson City’s parks. Each recorded oberservation will count towards another hopeful win for our city in a friendly competition against the City of Knoxville. We’ll enjoy several group strolls as we learn the value of this easy to use app and the importance of citizen science.

Bluebell Wildflower Hike

Join us to enjoy Winged Deer Park’s spectacular collection of bluebells, an ephemeral flower that only blooms for a short period of time. This slow-paced stroll will wind around the backforty acres of the park with the bluebells as our centerpiece, while we take time to admire the multitude of other interesting things spring has to offer.
