HOW DOES IT CONTRIBUTE TO HEART DISEASE?

Cholesterol is a waxy substance that circulates in the blood. When cholesterol combines with other substances in your blood it thickens, becoming a hard deposit on the inside of the arteries. The more cholesterol that builds up in the arteries the risk increases for heart attack and stroke. There are two different types of Cholesterol. LDL Cholesterol is bad and HDL Cholesterol which is good. Too much LDL and not enough HDL also increases your risk.
