What type of exercise is best? Any aerobic heart-pumping exercise that is prescribed individually according to your heart function. For example: brisk walking, hiking, running, jogging, swimming, yoga, cycling, playing tennis and jumping rope. While exercising your heart begins to beat faster and allows the vessels to open up wider, in turn allowing more blood to flow throughout the body. The muscles and tissues will demand more nutrients and oxygen while exercising, in turn strengthening your heart.
