Parks and Community... Parks support community engagement by providing residents with a venue for participation in and attachment to their communities. They also provide a sense of place and offer essential life-enhancing qualities that aid community and individual well-being. Carver Recreation Center is a prime example of how parks and communities enhance the quality of life for our citizens. Just this month community churches, volunteers, and staff members in the Carver community came together to provide the annual free Thanksgiving meal. There was laughter, community pride, social interaction, and a sense of family very evident during the event. The photo’s below just scratch the surface of what Carver Recreation Center has meant to the generations of people who live in the Carver community.
