Aim: What role did technology play in Obama getting elected?
Aim: How can evidence help us build an argument?
Do Now: Obama has changed the Do Now: way that Presidents get elected. It Do you think that technology has made isn’t because of his race, but us smarter or dumber or both? How? because he is the first president to embrace social networking such as Facebook. Before Obama, people used to decide who to vote for based on the newspaper or maybe a book that the president has written. Obama certainly wrote a book and appeared often in the newspaper. However, some claim that many of his votes came through twitter, text messaging and facebook. Meanwhile his competition was stuck in the past only using older forms of communication. Do you think this is why he got elected? Why or why not?
