Since her first trunk show in 2007, Erin Healy has established herself as one of the Southeast’s premiere designers. Her designs have typically been inspired by flora and fauna of her St. Augustine locale’s native surroundings. Vivid colors, deep textures and nature-inspired patterns are hallmarks of her looks. But for her F/H 2012, Healy draws upon the drama and the decadence of the Roaring ‘20s. HBO’s Boardwalk Empire series and cinema’s The Artist have revived the romance of the days when women first freed their bodies and their minds from the Victorian-era constraints, spent their days and nights immersed in the words of Tolstoy, the bold hues of Picasso and the jazz sounds of Gershwin. Erin’s new collection features Art Deco-styled lines embellished with delicate lace, feathers and intricate beading and appeals to women whose style is a mix of the demure and the decadent.
