HOW TO PLAN A SUCCESSFUL SUMMIT: 1) Create an immediate feeling of impact. 2) Build a sense of community and identity. 3) Find good partners. 4) Use multiple means of publicity (social media, press, radio), and emphasize local papers. 5) Plan in advance for action following the summit. 6) Engage your participants. Make them feel like they belong. Create a shared experience. 7) Explain the urgency and importance.
