St. Mary of Redford’s Grade School was a Catholic school that thrived during the 1920’s population spike. Throughout the population spike, the school adapted to keep up with the growing demand. It now sits vacant.

The project goals include maintaining the original program as a school. With the old high school adjacent to the grade school now serving as public school for the arts, the opportunity for continued use as a school would allow for intermingling between two structures that were closely connected in the past. The Old St. Mary of Redford’s Grade School is in fairly good condition and the main aspects of importance regarding the character of the building are the detailing of the stage, the facade, and the hallway tiling along the œoor and the wallls.t.
