ADOBE EDUCATIONAL SUMMIT AT THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH FLORIDA
Adobe Educational Summit Most problems can be solved with a little creativity. Creativity sparks innovation and helps bring about positive change. There is no doubt, students need creative minds to survive in the 21st century. The USF College of Education will propose to the Hillsborough County Public School District that we cohost, in conjunction with Adobe, an education summit in Tampa with superintendents from key districts. We will host Adobe’s education sales team to give them our real-world experiences to participate in a living-learning laboratory.
Proposed Project Invite and host all of Adobe’s North American education sales team to USF’s facilities in Tampa. We will provide them with two days of intense hands-on exposure to the educational decision-making process for educators in acquiring technology. We can arrange discussions
with deans, IT leadership, senior education management and K-12 leaders. Giving Adobe’s sales force practical exposure and practice selling solutions to real world educators. Faculty members, administrators, and other executivelevel staff will be invited to the summit. An interactive Q&A will offer the audience the opportunity to ask questions and will help the Adobe staff refine their sales discussions with actual educators and educational administrators in a relaxed, open environment. This type of interaction would be unique for Adobe employees. The evening would culminate with an event at MOSI (the Museum of Science and Industry).
Travel and Accommodations: • Easy in and out via Tampa International Airport • Embassy Suites hotel on site • USF facilities for presentations, including the TECO Room and the Gus A. Stavros Center’s James Room Theater.
• Sports and other events on campus (depending on the time of year).
Benefits Personally and professionally, partnerships are the core of humanity. Through this partnership with Adobe we envision a new model for implementing and evaluating digital tools to enhance communication, collaboration, and creation in K-12 schools and institutions of higher education. Can we change humanity? Probably not. Can we change education through this partnership? That’s our job.
