INDIANA UNIVERSITY MAURER SCHOOL OF LAW
CLASS OF 2021 COMMENCEMENT 1
2
CONGRATULATIONS, CLASS OF 2021 Dear Graduates, Family, and Friends of the Class of 2021, The Maurer School of Law commencement ceremony is the high point of the academic year, when the Indiana Law community gathers in the IU Auditorium to celebrate the achievements of the graduating class. This year, the Classes of 2020 and 2021 were invited to participate in an in-person commencement ceremony with other Indiana University– Bloomington graduates, but the COVID-19 pandemic prevented us from holding a separate ceremony. However, the school’s Graduation Committee has worked hard to replicate our usual in-person ceremony as closely as possible through a live-streamed virtual ceremony featuring several of our longstanding traditions, including student speakers, a faculty address, and the singing of the Alma Mater. We have highlighted our graduates’ achievements in this booklet and will continue to honor them on social media in the weeks ahead. The Class of 2021 has overcome significant obstacles in the achievement of this significant milestone. On behalf of our faculty, staff, and alumni, I extend our best wishes and congratulations to all of you. Please keep in touch.
Austen L. Parrish Dean and James H. Rudy Professor of Law

“HAIL TO OLD IU” (ALMA MATER) Come and join in song together,
Honor to the Cream and Crimson,
Shout with might and main;
Banner that we love;
Our beloved Alma Mater,
It shall lead us in the conflict,
Sound her praise again.
And our triumph prove.
Chorus: Chorus: Gloriana, Frangipana,
Gloriana, Frangipana,
E’er to her be true;
E’er to her be true;
She’s the pride of Indiana,
She’s the pride of Indiana,
Hail to old IU!
Hail to old IU!
