APPLY AT ADMISSIONS.KU.EDU/APPLY When you apply for admission, you must • Ask that each college and university you have attended send your official transcripts to KU. We can only transfer classes from the transcript of the school where you took those classes. Your official transcripts must be sent directly from your previous institution(s) or delivered in a sealed institutional envelope. • List on the application any courses you are currently taking or are planning to take before enrolling at KU. Once you complete the courses, arrange to have a final official transcript sent to KU. • Have your high school transcript and ACT or SAT scores sent to KU if you have not completed 24 transferable credit hours at the time of application. • Schools may fax unofficial transcripts to 877-KUADMIT (877-582-3648) for admission and scholarship consideration only. Your previous course work will not be evaluated for transfer of credit and your admission status will not be finalized until an official transcript is received.

Listing a major
 • If you are unsure of your major, choose “undecided” on the application to be considered for admission to the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. As a new student, you may list only one major on the application. • If you are interested in two majors within the same school, discuss it with your academic adviser during transfer orientation and enrollment. • If you are interested in a double major in two KU schools, email the Office of Admissions at processing@ku.edu. (This does NOT apply to a major and minor in different schools.) Applying for readmission
If you have earned credit at KU after high school, you will need to submit a complete application for readmission at admissions.ku.edu/apply

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS IF I TRANSFER TO KU, WILL MY FEDERAL FINANCIAL AID AUTOMATICALLY TRANSFER AS WELL? Although federal financial aid does not transfer between institutions, you should be able to receive financial aid at KU as long as you meet eligibility criteria. You must file the FAFSA and use KU’s federal school code (001948) to provide your information to KU. If you have federal aid, you must cancel the aid with the school you are attending and update your FAFSA to include KU’s school code. We cannot award or disburse aid until KU receives your FAFSA information and any aid at your previous school has been canceled. WHAT ABOUT STATE FINANCIAL AID? If you received a financial aid award from the state of Kansas, go to kansasregents.org or call 785-296-3518 for information about transferring the award. WHAT ABOUT SCHOLARSHIPS? If you have an outside scholarship, contact the scholarship donor to coordinate the possibility of transferring the scholarship to KU.

Jayhawks received $50 million in scholarships and grants last year.

WHAT IF I’M TRANSFERRING TO KU DURING THE ACADEMIC YEAR? If you have received financial aid at another school for the current year and are entering KU for the spring semester, you should notify the financial aid office at your current school and add KU to your FAFSA.
