Sleeping in a polyphasic cycle is not an easy thing to do. 30 minutes is about discovering how extraordinary people used their time more efficiently by managing their special sleep cycle.

Promoting a paper line called Cyclus by making an experimental typography book. Cyclus explains circles in lots of different ways. The name is about the paper that is 100% recycled. It’s about the circle of life.

The book is based on the subject of the polyphasic sleep cycle, which is referring to the practice of sleeping multiple times in a 24-hour period. The book is based on the final stage of this sleep cycle. It allows a person to sleep 30 minutes 6 times a day. People can achieve a mode that increases their productivity without causing any trouble to their body.

The way we did it was to create a biking system to help people understand their rides. We created three promotions: safety, routes and parking. We called ourselves cyked, because we wanted the riders to be excited to bike in the city of San Francisco.

Food lasting forever is a future food preservation method that can help humans preserve their food for longer periods of time. Not just for 1 or 2 years, but 10 or 20 years or more. The project is about trying to raise the awareness of environmental issues to a wide audience.

Redesign a current online social media website. This website is call Flickchart. It’s an online movie social network website. The uniqueness of this website is how it shows two films at the same time and people must pick one of them in order to create their own list of movies. People can also rate and discuss movies on this website too.

The website needs more personality to it. In this project, I tried to re*energize flickchart with a fun, funky and quirky style . The logo contains a face that looks in two different directions. It kind of tells people that it’s hard to pick between two films.

In each of new Logitech gaming packages we are showing something different. And we want you to know this is like nothing you’ve seen or experienced before.

06 OBJECTIVE:

SOLUTION:

In this group project we were working with a real client, Logitech. We were assigned to design new packaging for their gaming mouse and keyboard. The main goal is based on the research feedback we got from the gamers: gamers don’t read. Gamers tend to look at something that is fresh and stylish in some way.

We wanted customers to know what they are looking for at first glance. In each structure we have a window to show customers the real products. In terms of graphics, we wanted to attract a specific gamer audience. We didn’t use too much type to fill the empty space. The package design also contains different languages. It’s for the low-end product market in China.

The new Asics is different than what it used to be. It has some sort of boldness. This is the new ara of Asics.

07 OBJECTIVE:

SOLUTION:

The company Asics is a sportswear based brand. The brand is focused on sportswear, gear like rackets for batminton, tennis, table tennis. My job is to rebrand Asics. The idea of “The healthy body in a healthy soul. � was the concept behind their original logo.

I want the new Asics to have some sort of boldness on the logo but also communicate the idea of a speedometer. The reason for the speedometer is because most of their products relate to running. At the same time the logo tells the story of a healthy soul in a healthy body. I want the logo to be worn on the elbows and knees to create a brand identity.

One of most intriguing and interesting things about typography is that they it has its own emotions no matter what kind of situation the type is in. As a designer we should always be aware the power of typography.

The content of this book is based on emotions of humans by applying typography as a media to express different human feelings. There are nine different emotions in this book, each one of them are represented by different type. The typeface is changing throughout the book.

In psychology, philosophy, and their many subsets, emotion is the generic term for subjective, conscious experience that is characterized primarily by psychophysiological expressions, biological reactions, and mental states. Emotion is often associated and considered reciprocally influential with mood, temperament, personality, disposition, and motivation, as well as influenced by hormones and neurotransmitters such as dopamine, noradrenaline, serotonin, oxytocin, cortisol and GABA. Emotion is often the driving force behind motivation, positive or negative. An alternative definition of emotion is a "positive or negative experience that is associated with a particular pattern of physiological activity."
