Nature experience - Programme 2021
From flower to flower It is a balancing act to come from one flower to the next.
With a minimum height of 115 cm children may travel alone on the lift, the age is not relevant. Smaller children can sit on the lap of an adult. The lift staff makes the final decision about whether a visitor is "fit to ride".
Can two children ride together in one seat? It is not permitted to transport two children in one seat.
Where are the toilets? There are toilets at both the bottom and the middle station.
Does the lift operate in bad weather, too? The lift operates daily from May 1 to November 7, from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm. An exception are forecasted severe thunderstorms. In case of doubt you can find out more at +43 5372 6930-363.
Is the car park at the Kaiserlift subject to a fee?
The Kaiserlift is part of Austria´s largest mountain experience The partnership between the Kaiserlift and the Ellmau-Going cable cars opens up new perspectives for hikers and nature lovers: the Kaiserlift can be used with the Mountain Experience-Card WilderKaiser-Brixental (day or season ticket). Just one ticket gives you access to 15 cable cars, seven unique mountain adventure worlds, the "Naturerlebnis Kaisergebirge", well signposted hiking paths, the KaiserJet and 32 bonus partners. The Mountain Experience-Card WilderKaiser-Brixental is available at SkiWelt, the Kaiserlift or Stadtwerke Kufstein. The season ticket costs: adults € 190,- / youth (2003–2005) € 142,50 / children (2006–2016) € 95,-

Nature experience Kaisergebirge
Yes, with the KufsteinCard (valid for 365 days) you have unlimited access not only to the Kaiserlift but also the public swimming pool, lake Hechtsee, city buses and the ice rink. You can also visit the Kufstein Fortress (including fortress cable car) and the "Sinnfonie" at Riedelglas. An addition since 2020: the public library "kubi" in the building of the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein.
Nine stations teach the events that led to the formation of the Kaisergebirge mountain range. On a tour with a geologist you can learn interesting facts about the eternal process that is still changing the earth's "face", about continents, mountains and oceans that existed and then disappeared. What remains is a skin with scars and wrinkles – the earth’s surface.
Folkloric music - traditional and down-to-earth. Without any amplifiers - enjoy nature and music. Local bands play on various mountain huts and invite you to a musically underlined hike in the Kaisergebirge nature experience. Save the date: Saturday, June 19, 2021 from 10 am to 4 pm. Alternative date in case of bad weather: Saturday, June 26, 2021. The appointment will take place subject to the current COVID measures. If not possible, the event will be postponed to fall 2021.
It takes approx. 15 minutes to reach the middle station, and the Brentenjoch top station is reached in approx. 30 minutes. In the middle station you have to change.

How long does the lift ride take?
Both the Mountain Experience-Card Wilder Kaiser-Brixental and the Kitzbühel Alps Summer Card are valid for the Kaiserlift. The same applies to the Tyrol Snowcard (however, this is limited from May 1 to 15 and from October 1 to November 7).
Don't just hike, discover the diversity of the Kaisergebirge mountain range's nature experience. Touch it. Explore it. Feel it. From May to October, guided walks with various experts are offered for free and provide new, unexpected insights into the nature reserve.
Our popular morning trips are taking place again in summer 2021. On six Saturdays, the Kaiserlift starts operating at 6 am. The early morning atmosphere and a marvellous sunrise will be a unique experience for early birds. At 7 am there will be a guided nature walk as well as a sunrise yoga session at an energy spot. Meeting point: Kaiserlift top station. The dates for the morning trips 2021: July 3, July 17, July 31, August 14, August 28, September 11.

Feel the uniqueness Well signposted hiking trails await leisure hikers and passionate mountaineers on the plateau reaching from Brentenjoch to the Steinberg alpine pastures.
Why does the lift stop sometimes?
Enjoy an incredible view over the impressive scenery of the Kaisergebirge mountain range. At 1.256 m above sea level you can discover a habitat which has been registered as a nature reserve since 1963. Nature and plants, animals and alpine farming have been forming a symbiosis for centuries.
Safety is of utmost importance to us. To ensure that visitors can get on and off the Kaiserlift safely it is sometimes necessary to stop. The ride will continue after a couple of seconds. If the lift stops for a longer period, please stay calm and listen to the loudspeaker announcements.

Adlerblick "Eagle's View" - This energy spot is located directly next to the top station. Looking into the distance through the viscope, the names of the mountain peaks and huts will be displayed inside the telescope as you zoom in on the various places.
Gratwanderung "Ridge Walk" - The Hocheck ridge is located between the areas Steinberg and Walleralm. The wind-protected spiral invites hikers to take a cosy rest. A viscope provides great views and it takes the mountain peaks closer to the hikers.
Freiraum - Raum - Zeit "Freedom - Space - Time" - The layout of this spot is a spiral and it is located just 3 min. away from the top station. Here you can view the northern face of the Wilder Kaiser mountains – a jewel of nature that is worth exploring. Hikers enjoy fantastic views over the imposing Kaisergebirge mountain range.
Himmelschauen "Sky View" - At Gamskogel there is a magical spot to watch the sky and the clouds. The spiral-shaped larch wood bench allows you to lie facing any direction you want, or sit on the inside, depending on the sun and your mood.
Almapotheke "Mountain Pharmacy" - Discover the highest mountain pharmacy in Austria at Berghaus Aschenbrenner. Four units allow an interactive experience of old pharmacy handcraft and herbal knowledge. Local herbs and their healing effects are presented in words, pictures and odor samples.
Lebensquelle "Source of Life" - You can find this energy spot hiking along the forestry road between the middle and top station. At the "Riegen"-fountain you can draw energy from the power of water.
