ABOUT THE PROJECT
I DID THIS PROJECT AS MY FINAL YEAR THESIS PROJECT WHICH IS HOUSING A 5 STAR BUSSINESS CLASS HOTEL , AN ICONIC OFFICE TOWER AND SHOPPING/RETAIL AREAS, LOCATED IN THE SECTOR-62 OF NOIDA. LAND USE PATTERN IN THE AREA IS MAINLY INSTITUTIONAL BUILDINGS.

MAIN CHALLENGE THAT I FACED WAS THAT SITE DO NOT HAVE ANY EXTRAORDINARY VIEWS, SO I FOCUSED ON CREATING LANDSCAPED PLAZA WITH INFORMAL SITTING SPACES WHICH CAN BE USED FOR INTEGRATING THE VARIOUS ACTIVITIES.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
NINE NINES LIFESTYLE IS A PROPOSED LOW RISE RESIDENTIAL APARTMENT IN HYDRABAD WHICH COMPRISES OF 15 UNITS OF 3 BHK AND 2.5 BHK WITH AMENITIES SUCH AS LANDSCAPED TERRACE AND GYMNAESIUM, POWER BACK-UP ETC.
PROJECT STATUS WHEN I JOINED CONCEPT STAGE FLOOR PLANS, SECTION AND ELEVATION WERE FREEZED.

SITE VISIT PHOTOGRAPHS VISITING ON SITE ALONG WITH OTHER SENIOR ARCHITECTS GAVE ME A VERY UNIQUE EXPERIENCE AND I GOT A CHANCE TO SEE HOW THE CONSTRUCTION WORK IS ACTUALLY CARRIED OUT AT SITE AFTER THE COMPLETION OF WORKING DRAWING IN STUDIO.IT WAS FIRST TIME FOR ME WHEN I WAS VISITING A SITE OF THIS SCALE.THE AGENDA FOR THE SITE VISIT WAS TO CHECK LINE DIMENSION OF THE COLUMNS AND ALSO COLUMN TO COLUMN DIAGONAL DIMENSIONS.

HAND RAILS ON THE STAIRCASES WERE NOT AS USUAL.THEY WERE DESIGNED TO MAKE THEM MORE INTERACTIVE BY PLACING SOME BEADS AND RINGS IN THE RAILING WHICH CAN BE SLIDED UP AND DOWN BY CHILDREN AND THUS MAKING THE DESIGN MORE INTERACTIVE AND MANY THINGS CAN BE TAUGHT TO THEM VERY SIMPLY.
CLASSROOM INTERIOR
THE CLASSROOM ALSO HAD ALL MODERN FACILITIES LIKE PROJECTOR AND SPEAKERS FOR AUDIO AN VISUAL. SOFT BOARDS OF THE CORRIDOR SERVES THE DUAL PURPOSE AS STUDENTS CAN USE THEM BOTH FROM BOTH SIDES.

DURING TH PLANNING WE WERE FORCED TO CHOOSE THIS SHAPE ONLY BECAUSE THE CLIENT HAS ITS OWN INDUSTRY OF CURVED ROOF WHICH SAVED HIS MONEY AND ALSO DO NOT REQUIRE ANY SUPPORT IN BETWEEN DURING LONGER SPAN. SOFTWARES USED AUTO CAD, SKETCH UP, V RAY SKETCH UP, PHOTOSHOP
THE CORRIDORS OF SCHOOL WERE DOUBLY BANKED AND IN A NORMAL CASE A BRICK WALL BE SEPARATING THE CLASSROOM FROM CORRIDORS.BUT IN THIS CASE FULL HEIGHT OPENINGS WERE MADE IN SEPARATING WALL AND LOCKERS AND SOFT BOARDS WERE INTRODUCED.SOFT BOARD INTENDED FOR THE PURPOSE OF DISPLAYING THE STUDENT WORKS AND CAN BE USED FOR KEEPING THE BOOKS AND COPIES,INTRODUCING THE CONCEPT OF BAG LESS SCHOOL.

ENTRANCE PLAZA FOR THE AUDITORIUM OF FACULTY OF COMMERCE WAS COMPLETELY DESIGNED BY ME.THE RAMP AT THE ENTRANCE WAS ALREADY PRESENT.SO I THOUGHT OF PROVIDING THE MAIN STEPS FROM THE SIDE.BECAUSE THIS IS COLLAGE ,THEREFORE I ALSO PROVIDED SEATING OUTSIDE ON WOODEN LOGS.I ALSO GAVE A SECONDARY STEPS FROM GRASS AND PLANTS WHICH CAN ALSO BE USED FOR SITTING AS THEY ARE SECONDARY.I ALSO GAVE PROVISION FOR SMALL COFFEE SHOP.
