Turku City Library is a modern library that provides services every day of the year. At our libraries you can for instance prepare for your exams, borrow a wide range of reading materials, read Finnish newspapers with ePress and keep up with world news with PressReader. In addition to the familiar material, you can borrow from the main library e.g. board games, musical instruments or even season tickets.

Make use of our extensive collection of e-books and e-audiobooks in the web library at vaskilibraries.fi. Visit your nearest library to acquire a library card which may also be used as a Culture Card. As a Culture Card holder, you will receive up-to-date information on cultural activities in Turku, e.g. affordable theatre and concert tickets.

The library also offers a variety of events free of charge. You can also follow several of the events online.

Tickets to weekday shows (Mon-Thu) are just 10 € when purchased on the same day.

The discount covers all of Turku City Theatre’s own shows, as long as there is room in the auditorium. The discounted tickets can only be booked on the day of the show. Book your tickets through the sales department by calling 02 262 0030 or from the box office in theatre building.

NEW HOBBIES AND DELICACIES WITH POCKET MONEY AT VIMMA

Youth’s arts and activities center Vimma (Aurakatu 16) is a house of multiple possibilities. You can get a wide range of new hobbies. You can try e.g. textile printing or pottery. You can also find concerts and youth events here. On the ground floor you can find Kafé Vimma where you can enjoy delicacies with very affordable prices. The facilities of the house can also be reserved for independent activities, such as meetings of associations. Join the Youth Events and Activities Team to influence the services we offer!

ANSWERS TO MANY QUESTIONS

NuortenTurku is an information and guidance service for those under the age of 30. It provides information on many topics such as studying, searching for employment, hobbies or international opportunities. You will have help free of charge e.g. with filling out forms or creating a CV. NuortenTurku also arranges free monthly sports trials.

SKATE IN CUBE, NO MATTER THE WEATHER

Skateboard hall Cube welcomes all skateboarders, whether you’re just starting out or an active skateboarder. The staff are happy to offer advice and guidance, but you can also just do your own thing. Cube also has dedicated time slots for kick scooter riders, BMX cyclists and bladers.

The routes are not visibly marked so you will need a map with you. You can get the route maps from the library or the Tourist information in Turku.
