THE CITY LIBRARY Libraries are for everybody! Turku City Library is a modern library that provides services every day of the year. At our libraries you can for instance prepare for your exams, borrow a wide range of reading materials, read Finnish newspapers with ePress and keep up with world news with PressReader. In addition to the familiar material, you can borrow from the main library e.g. board games, musical instruments or even season tickets. Make use of our extensive collection of e-books and e-audiobooks in the web library at vaskilibraries.fi. Visit your nearest library to acquire a library card which may also be used as a Culture Card. As a Culture Card holder, you will receive up-to-date information on cultural activities in Turku, e.g. affordable theatre and concert tickets. The library also offers a variety of events free of charge. You can also follow several of the events online.

The exhibition features furniture, drawings and photographs by Bryggman, among other works. She worked on the restoration of Turku Castle for a long time and was in charge of the project together with her father Erik Bryggman. • Northern Exhibition Hall´s collection exhibition The exhibition features over 600 objects and nearly 200 pieces of clothing and accessories, such as hats, shoes and fans from the Museum Centre of Turku’s own collections. The objects and clothes on display offer glimpses into 17th–19th century gentry culture from different perspectives. WAM • Uncertain Horizon 6 March—16 May This exhibition examines the changing sea around us. Things that we have taken for granted are uncertain and causal chains are surprising in the future. Changes in the horizon and emotions reflected by the sea are pondered over in the exhibition with the help of the works of contemporary international and Finnish artists. You can get a wide range of new hobbies. You can try e.g. textile printing or pottery. You can also find several concerts and youth events here. The camping areas include Vienola in Rymättylä, Tippsund in Taivassalo and Ahtela in Sauvo. These facilities can be rented by organisations, associations and private persons. All camping areas are located in exceptionally beautiful sites, in the heart of nature and near water.
