Letter from the Director Greetings Region II! The Regional Leadership Team is looking forward to many great things we can offer our members in 2017! Based on feedback we received on the RII Membership Assessment Survey last year, we are putting your feedback into practice! Here are some of the things coming up in RII: • Awards & Scholarship Application Deadlines: • ILEAD Registration Grants (2) – deadline April 14th • IPDS Scholarship – deadline April 14th • Drive-In Facility Tour and Roundtable Discussion at University of Texas-Austin Wednesday, June 14, 2017, from 10am-2pm • Drive-In Facility Tour and Roundtable Discussion at University of Central Missouri Wednesday, June 14, 2017, from 10am-2pm • Graduate Student Forum at Texas State University Friday, September 29, 2017, from 9am-3:30pm In addition, this year, ACUI as an association will be revealing the new ACUI brand, improvements to the web page, and implementing new project management software for volunteers. I encourage each of you to take advantage of opportunities to get involved in your association whether it is in big or small ways. You can volunteer at a conference or educational event, serve on an awards and scholarships review team, apply for a leadership or conference planning team position, or host an ACUI event! Find a way to contribute or give back – whether it is volunteering an hour or donating $1 – your participation can make a difference. We look forward to seeing you in Philly for the Annual Conference! Plan to attend the RII Meeting on Sunday, March 19th and the Regional Dinner on March 20th that is included with your conference registration! Wendy Denman Region II Director
