A Century of Tradition December 20th, 1:00 pm

In what many consider the finest documentary of Jayhawk basketball history, A Centry of Tradition takes viewers from the very beginnings of the KU program up to the Roy Williams era of the 90s. With game footage and interviews from every decade of the first 100 years of KU basketball, no fan can resist this retelling of KU’s fantastic story.

Jayhawkers

December 22nd, 11:00 am Wilt Chamberlain and Phog Allen team up to create a Jayhawk squad that is seemingly unstoppable. But they face their greatest challenge off the court—the racial segregation of the 1950s. The team of unlikely allies work together to modernize college sports while fighting for racial justice.

No Place Like Home

December 28th, 2:00 pm When KU fan Josh Swade discovers Dr. Naismith’s original rules of basketball will be auctioned on December 10, 2010, he embarks on a quest to raise more the $1 million in three weeks. The cameras roll during every step of his adventure, through twists and turns and unlikely stops. Follow his fanatical journey to bring the rules home to the University of Kansas.

The 1988 NCAA Championship January 2nd, 2:00 pm

Danny and the Miracles, as a six seed in the 1988 NCAA tournament, face the daunting task of unseating #1 seed Oklahoma in an all-Big 8 championship game. Playing to a 50-50 tie in the 50th NCAA tournament, the Jayhawks slow down the game in the second half and pull off a huge upset, winning 83-79.

The 2008 NCAA Championship January 5th, 11:00 am

Twenty years after Danny and the Miracles captured the 1988 crown, the 2008 Jayhawks—in one of the greatest championship game comebacks of all time—grabbed their third title in school history by defeating the Memphis Tigers 75-68 in overtime.

Fast Break: the Legendary John McClendon January 10th, 1:00 pm

Fast Break is a documentary about the life and legacy of coach John McClendon. Inspired by the award winning biography, “Breaking Through” by Milton S. Katz, the film tells the story of the life of this remarkable man. McClendon broke down barriers of racial segregation in college and professional athletics, while pioneering a new, more fast-paced way to play the game of basketball.

1995-1996 Season Highlights January 12th, 1:00 pm

The senior year for Sean Pearson and Calvin Rayford saw the emergence of freshman Paul Pierce and sophomore Raef LaFrentz. This successful season brought the Jayhawks a Big 8 conference championship by three full games, and an Elite 8 appearance in the NCAA tournament.

1996-1997 Season Highlights January 13th, 1:00 pm

The team that some consider the best in the storied history of Jayhawk basketball: seniors Jerrod Haase, Jacque Vaugh and Scot Pollard join Paul Pierce and Raef LaFrentz for a powerful group that soared to a 342 record.

2001-2002 Season Highlights January 17th, 1:00 pm

One of Roy Williams’s finest recruiting classes of Drew Gooden, Nick Collison and Kirk Hinrich join Jeff Boschee for a Big 12 conference championship and KU’s first Final Four in nine years.

2002-2003 Season Highlights January 18th, 1:00 pm

Kirk Hinrich and Nick Collison return for a second straight Final Four appearance. This season also highlights a prized group of freshmen including Wayne Simien and Aaron Miles. Heartbreaking loss to Syracuse in the last seconds of the NCAA championship.

2003-2004 Season Highlights January 19th, 1:00 pm

Roy Williams has jetted to UNC, and KU brings in new head coach Bill Self. The team takes to the new coach well and misses an unprecedented third straight Final Four by an overtime loss in the Elite Eight to Wake Forest.
