NATURE AND FORM The brief of the project was to study nature and translate its attributes in a 2D and 3D form.

THOROUGHBRED HORSE The thoroughbred is a horse breed best known for its use in professional racing. The breed was developed in England where native mares were crossbred with imported Oriental stallions from Arabia.

TENSILE STRUCTURE The brief of the project was to design a tensile structure for the game of polo.

POLO Polo is a team sport played on horseback. The objective is to score goals against an opposing team. The modern game of polo, though formalized and popularized by the British, is derived from Manipur, India.

POLO IN INDIA Polo in India was originally played in Gilgit, Chitral and Manipur in the 18th century. It was popularized throughout India by Emperor Akbar thus the royals have a long relation with the game. India’s 61st Cavalry is the only surviving horse cavalry in the world. Hence, its popular in the Indian Army. The brief was to popularize the game of Polo in India among the common man as the game has lost its charm.

MATERIALS AND PROCESSES The brief of the project was to design a watch display unit for Omega.

OMEGA Omega is a luxury watchmaker based in Switzerland. They have a long and interesting history from its start in 1903 till present date. The brand has been the timekeeper for the Olympic Games since 1932. The brand has served all kinds of costumers from Presidents, to movie stars, etc.

MOODBOARD Main source of inspiration was a watch dial and diamonds. As its a luxury watch brand they do not just sell a watch they sell an experience with it as well.

The brief of the project was to design a mobile exhibition for Quiksilver.
QUIKSILVER Quiksilver, is one of the world's largest manufacturers of surf wear and other board sport-related equipment. It also designs and produces an entire line of lifestyle apparel, and other accessories. Quiksilver has two other brands under it, namely Roxy and DC Shoes.

ABOUT Quiksilver’s presence in the Indian market is not that known. Brief : To develop an experiential space and promote the brand, hence helping it expand it’s presence in the Indian market.
USP : Complete surf wear and board sports related wear brand.

Flow and Movement
This is a mobile exhibition for Quiksilver. Since its the sole provider for skateboards and related apparel/ accessories in India, the exhibition has been designed to highlight skateboarding thus promoting the brand. The exhibition will have sports and fun related activities making it more experiential for the user.
The exhibition can be setup at different locations easily. Some locations are: • College fest • Skateboarding rings • Music festivals • Open spaces in malls

OPEN ELECTIVE The brief of the project was to design and stitch a waistcoat. The waistcoat is inspired by the summer/spring season. The colors have been chosen so that the waistcoat can be worn during day time as well as a semi-formal waistcoat over a shirt. Its a one button waistcoat with two well pockets which have pattern over them as detailing.
LEARNING : Explored different materials and textures. Learnt different techniques for stitching. Learnt how to use a sewing machine.

I am a keen learner and currently in my 3rd year in Retail and Space Design at MIT Institute of Design, Pune. I am looking for a 6 - 8 week internship, where i can apply my skills and gain experience in the industry. My interests lie in form generation, space ideation and prototyping. I am a foodie and I love to travel and play polo.
