On behalf of all of us at Kuper Sotheby’s International Realty, it is my pleasure to provide you with our Market Report | 2017 Market in Review. For over forty-five years our firm has played a pivotal role in the real estate landscape throughout Central and South Texas, with sales volume in-excess of $20B to date. Today we have over three hundred of the most talented and experienced real estate professionals in the industry selling residential and ranch property within Texas. We want our experience and success to be to your benefit when representing you in a transaction, but also when you need insight into the real estate market as a whole. The greater Austin market was strong again in 2017, with increases in the total number of sales and the average sales price from the year before. Virtually all submarkets in Austin saw a tremendous amount of activity last year. As our region continues to be a key destination for job growth, we can expect these trends to continue. With the addition of several new direct flights from Austin–Bergstrom International Airport and with large employers like Amazon looking at Austin as a major contender for a second headquarters, the real estate market shouldn’t see a slowdown anytime soon. I hope this market report helps give you greater insight into the exciting things happening in our region.
