The design focuses on the local climate and local culture, architecture, and heritage as well as the tourists’ comfort and experience. The design incorporates the traditional design features of the hot and dry climate. Easy circulation with minimum crossing of paths of different types of users (tourists, administration and staff) is maintained by separate entries and designated areas. The courtyard in between the residential spaces acts as an interaction space as well as a multi utility space for activities by which tourists can experience local culture and tradition promoting local festivals, arts and crafts, fashion, dance styles, and cuisine. Moreover, the design provides a very natural experience of a hot and dry street with compact buildings and natural vegetation providing shade and bringing down the temperature.

Municipality and construction drawings for the residence design project of Architectural Design were drafted during the Working Drawing course in my 6th semester.

I have always enjoyed making physical models for my own as well as for seniors’ academic works. The artworks were made by me in the Graphics and Visual Communication course [1st sem].
